I'm at what I feel would be the equivalent of the Heaven Dungeon from P4 in P5. It's really trying to feel like the end game, but I simply know better. Besides, there are still too many questions unanswered and three of my four story based Confidants have not been maxed out. I have passed where I feel the Bad Ending would have been, so I'm off for the Normal Ending at least. November was insane though, and I feel it may have cemented this game as my favorite of the Social Link Persona titles.

Right now, I'm trying to finish up some confidants and level up a bit in Memnetos before tackling the new Palace. The last two or three dungeons have had noticeable difficulty spikes and I'm still trying to get to 75% of the Compendium filled since you get discounts for it. I have attained one characters Second Awakening Persona but I'm really trying to get the others up.

My biggest annoyance is that the game once again pulled a pain in the ass last minute Social Link. The Empress Confidant shows up just before the story goes into avalanche mode, needs you to waste two evenings before the link even opens up and after Ranking it up once, it gets blocked with a requirement to have one social stat needing to be maxed out. What irritates me the most about this, besides the fact I'm trying to focus on completing the Confidants that are nearly done, is that I lose access to very valuable abilities like Baton Pass for this character, making them less useful in dungeon crawling. I really love the character too, but I know my days are limited and can't waste more afternoons and evenings trying to raise the stat. I have a Confidant that helps raise the stat, but they are also a latecomer thanks to the social stat lock out, so I'm only Rank 2 with them at the moment and their abilities they give me are not as useful as other options.

I will say right now, whenever you do get around to playing this game, focus on Temperance, Moon, Sun, and Fortune ASAP. The skills they grant are extremely useful the earlier you get them. Follow it up with Star, Tower, and Hierophant as they have the secondary best skills. Honestly, the game makes it even harder to choose who to hang out with because most of the Confidants grant you wonderful abilities.

Yeah, I'm still miffed that the PSP version never left Japan. I really wanted to check out the new Tatsuya Scenario, because it's a major shout out to Lovecraft.

On the brightside, if you have a modded American PS1, the original game is pretty cheap on Amazon from what I've seen.

I'm afraid you're missing out. It was my first Persona game actually.
