I always felt like XV was meant to me more about seeing a world and building up the relationship of the four main heroes. Pretty much how in XII, I feel like experiencing Ivalice is the real core experience of the game as opposed to the objective given to you. I'm not surprised the people who just relegate the game to just the main custscenes would be disappointed.

I know that you "love " FFX, so thought might give you some "gifts " ;p

It's a good mindset to have, to be honest. In a world that's increasingly nationalistic and insular (or so it seems sometimes), it makes you appreciate multiculturalism, pluralism and the importance of understanding others.

Take your time with BV. I'm just in an excited writing mood, so I've done lots. I've written like 3000 words in two days, which by my standards is huge.

It's actually refreshing having a straight ally who knows more about a particular form of gay culture. Just because I'm bisexual doesn't mean I know everything.

But I'll check out the channel. Honestly, I don't really involve myself that much in gay culture (and knowing gay 'types' like cubs, bears, etc.). I mean, I was the vice-chair of my University's LGBT society for a year, and a committee member for the other two. Yet... I don't know. It's not something I really know about in-depth. Like, I knew the gist of what you were saying about Japanese views of masculinity/effeminacy, but I didn't know the words, like Bara.

Oh, good news: my next Tristan chapter is coming up. It's my first hand at investigative fiction, I hope I'm doing alright.

So does Japanese ideas of homosexuality revolve around hypermasculinity then? I just recall Kanji from P4, and compare him to Yusuke.

Of course, I haven't studied Japanese culture, so I'm probably wrong.

I do think there's touches of gay baiting though. Like, Atlus must know that a sizeable proportion of fans would want a gay romance. And it would make sense.

My only glimmer of hope is that they might add one in via localisation, DLC or (more likely) a 'Golden' version in a few years time.

I did follow Persona 5 news, but after September I sort of settled in for the long haul flight to February and tuned out. I guess I can hold out another two months.

Anyway, Mr. Carny says they teased a gay romance, but are now cutting that out? Am I hearing this right?
