I've known him as Gabo for fifteen years, to change it now (even as a direct one) just feels sacrilegious to me. Its like calling Sabin Mash or Terra as Tina. I also just never cared for the onomatopoeia element of the series, so I prefer when its not as noticeable.

Some of the job classes as well as the character names. Gabo just fits better than Ruff.

Just making Morris and Red playable was pandering enough, especially since the game really doesn't need two extra party members.

I was laughing today cause Siliconera had an article on DQVII, giving tips on how to survive Alltrades Abbey/Dharma Temple. Also, I really can't get behind some of the name changes in this game.

Tell me about it. I just checked my account today and realized I've been spending way too much money on frivolous expenses like coffee. It really added up quickly. Thankfully I get paid this week but I think this pay check is from my convention week, so it's probably not going to be so great.

I'd go for it. That's a steal that may not come up again.

True, honestly, DQIX is pretty damn easy for the most part. Largely because it's "pick up and go anywhere" design is designed to make it not feel frustrating.

I'm seriously debating to use a gift card I'm holding onto to pick up SMTIV: Apocalypse, yet I'm worried that if I pick it up, I will start playing it over all the other games I'm working on right now.

I actually ignored sex appeal for Jessica, I never found many of the skills it gave to be good. For me:

Hero - Swords and Courage First, Spear secondary Boomerang third
Yangus - Axes and Humanity first, Scythes secondary
Jessica - Staff first, Whips, Knives and Sex appeal second
Angelo - Bow and Staff first, Sword and Charisma secondary

The thing that helps me out is that several characters either stop getting useful abilities after awhile in their category, or they only get great skills super late in said category making it not worth the trouble in most cases.

If you hate point systems, you're really not going to be happy with DQIX then since it merges VIII's point system with the job class system. Luckily, since the point system deals mainly with weapon skills and they can cross over to different classes, it doesn't feel as overwhelming.

Its not so bad actually. Basically trade off points between two types you like and occasionally throw a few points into a third or fourth one with skills you might want. It helps if you consort a guide and just plan ahead.
