Sometimes I feel like he's not purposefully being offensive. I think he's just kind of... stupid. I mean it results in him being offensive but some of his questions and stuff are just... stupid. It sounds mean, but I don't know how else to explain it

So this morning in human services class, we were discussing respect and how people are more than just their surface traits. She said that just because you see someone as a certain way, you have to respect them and realize they have more going on. Like you might see a white woman, but you don't know the other things about them. Like maybe they're transgendered or are having some family issues or whatever the case may be. So you know, you have to look past surface traits and realize that people are complex and layered.


So Harold decided to share. He told my instructor, a black woman, how he totes does that, but when he first meets people, he will judge them and treat them according to their racial stereotypes. You see, says Harold, different races have different stereotypes, so he will use his preconceived notions and ideas (his words) to treat them a certain way. He will not, he says, treat an asian man the same way he will treat a white man, or treat a black woman the same way he will treat a white woman, until he gets to know them better. He will instead treat them according to their racial stereotypes until he discovers those below the surface traits.

Well I'm finally writing out the next installment of my FF retrospective and I can honestly say, I'm actually happy with this one.

I um i not mean to be so late i wass up all night helping my friend on a game and today i was doing the same with another. bbut if you wwant i can play now.

Ah, cool. VLR is pretty good, and a lot better than 999 on the technical side =P

But then there's the fact that they already had a kickstarter that grossed a little over half a million dollars. The vast majority of fans that want to support the release based on the CLANNAD name alone has already done so. By now newcomers probably make up a big portion of their future customers.

Either way, maybe I'm worrying too much. Steam is a very sale-based platform anyways so if they do a release sale and participate in other Steam sales it'll get more attention.

It's a good series but I've never been as attached to it as others have. My GF and her roommate absolutely adore the franchise though.
