I mean, my family are fine with Mr. Carny, on the whole. They're not religious in the slightest, I'm the only one in my family who is. But they don't really know what to think about it. My second oldest of three brothers expressed surprised we were still together after a year, which is, slightly perturbing I guess.

My mother is okay with it and she's the only one who really speaks to him on any regular basis or even asks after him, though she thought that I will be with a woman in the future. which is again, hardly a ringing endorsement. He's been down to my hometown like, two, three times now, and he's only met my mother. He's seen my third oldest brother, but they didn't talk (unless you count 'hello' to be conversation). He's slightly creeped out about it, privately I think he thinks I've been corrupted or tainted in some way. He's never said anything to my face though.

As for my oldest brother, he's standoffish with everyone; as long as everyone is doing okay he couldn't care less what they got up to. He's met Mr. Carny once: it was a passing encounter, really.

I would like my family to take more of an interest, because Mr. Carny's is so lovely and I do feel genuinely like part of the family.

Apparently. I have no issue with women who want to be that type of woman, but the key word is WANT. Not every woman should be pigeonholed like that. If she's a doctor she's doin pretty well for herself she doesn't NEED to know how to cook

It's just everywhere. It's like, can't cook shouldn't be a defining characteristic all the time. Unless it's a show about chefs or something. They're never like "Rodney is a scientist but he can't build a shed" because it has nothing to do with anything

I've just been noticing it more and more and it gets WAY too big of a focus

I've noticed the cooking things comes up a lot in Japanese media. Like even where it doesn't pertain to anything.

"Lady is a prestigious doctor but it seems she can't cook." WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING

Yosuke did bug me a lot of the time, but he is a teenage boy and a lot of times teenage boys are... well, idiots. But he also had some stuff I like so it balanced out to an "eh"

Yeah some of it's not umm her fault, they just didn't give you a lot of time with her, you know? I kinda don't like Teddie, but I don't dislike him either if that makes sense. But I either like or don't have a strong opinion on everyone else and Naoto basically got ranked in the no strong opinion category which is why she's so low.
