That was taken around Season 5. I'm currently watching through Season 6 at the moment.

You are so predictable that I made my new avatar one of irritation.

Not much. Just got to my favourite disc of FFIX Weekend soooooon, going to try to enjoy it because boyfriend is busy the next two weekends. Think we'll plant the rose garden too

    How are you?

All of my Box 1 Pokémon wouldn't go to your Box 1 anyway. The way I was planning to do it, your Box 1 would be equally distributed with Pokémon from all three. Because the first Pokémon I pull from Box 1 goes to your Box 1's first slot. The second Pokémon I pull from Box 2, and it goes to your Box 1's second slot, etcetera. That way we know that the boxes are mixed up from what I have, in addition to the general randomness of distribution and the die roll.

    I didn't. I read it.

Thank you! Thank you! I'm here all week.

Wah! I went to lay down for just a couple of minutes and ended up falling asleep.

    Your fault.

The tourney is comprised of my favorites, Fynn. You can't expect all of your favorites there. I don't particularly care for Larvesta one way or another. I mean, it's ok, but it's nothing that screams "awesome".

Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention: If I am happy with the hatched result, I reset the game anyway, then pick up the egg fresh. Guaranteed good eggs. It keeps your box from filling up with tons of useless Pokemon. Speaking of which, I have a lot of good Pokemon leftover from before I learned that trick.

Also, I figured out how I'm going to transfer them. Three boxes full of eggs. I'll start with box one. I'll roll a standard six sided dice. Then I'll roll it again. First roll will be column, second will be row (with a reroll if I get a 6). I'll trade that egg for the first Pokemon in your PC. Move on to box two, do the same thing, trade it for the second Pokemon. Etcetera. Should get them all jumbled up, and if you distribute them randomly, it'll be even better.

PS: Volcarona, on the other hand, is fantastic. So naturally Larvesta made it in. But no more revelations!

The child always has a 60% chance of keeping the ability of the mother (or the non-Ditto parent in a Ditto-breeding pair). With every Pokémon I'm breeding for this, I'm keeping an eye on the Ability. If it's one I actually think is worthwhile, I'll save before grabbing the egg (the RNG for egg generation is actually set quite a bit in advance, so it'll be the same egg even if I leave it there and go beat the Elite Four 20 times before I pick it up). Then I hatch the egg, see if it has the Ability, and if it doesn't, I reset, reject the egg, and try again.

Hidden Abilities are a little more rare than regular. Because, if it's not the inherited mother's ability, there's a 50% chance that it's one of the two Abilities that the Pokémon can have normally (unless the Pokémon only has one Normal Ability). So those odds are: Mother's - 60%. Ability A - 20%. Ability B - 20%. If the Mother's Ability IS Ability A, then your odds are: Ability A - 80%. Ability B - 20%. But a Hidden Ability will never be more than 60% chance to be passed down.

Since reloading gets me the same egg, I'll know that Pokémon has the particular Ability I want it to have.

Even so, this goes much faster than my standard breeding. Because NORMALLY, it has to have the Ability I want, it has to be female (I basically only use female Pokémon out of a weird OCD habit stretching back to Gen II), which SUCKS for Eevee and starters, which are mostly male, BTW. It also needs the right IV pairings. Assuming that I'm using two hex-flawless parents (which I wouldn't be, because if I had a hex flawless parent, I'm already done, this is just absolute best case scenario), that's another 1/6 chance to pass down the correct five IVs. So, for my Espeon... 1/6 chance for correct IV. 3/5 chance for Hidden Ability. 1/8 chance for correct gender. Not fun.

Part of your world

by Fynn on 06-06-2017 at 04:37 PM
So there's this nagging issue I've had for quite some time now. It's a pretty abstract issue but one I think is pretty interesting and perhaps even important to share nonetheless. For many reasons, it has only become more pronounced recently.

As some of you may know, I want to be a writer. I try to do as much writing as I can. I even do writing for a living, though as an SEO copywriter, it's not exactly that I have an opportunity to spread my creative wings as part of what keeps giving

On FFVII (part of my Fmarathon rant)

by Fynn on 11-23-2016 at 11:16 AM
Decided this is worthy of being a blog-post, since it turned out to be a much bigger rant than I expected and I'm not sure the marathon's audience is really there for that kind of stuff

Frustrations of the writerly sort

by Fynn on 07-01-2016 at 11:13 AM
So there's this thing I've been struggling for quite some time. I don't want to call it a "writer's block" because it kind of seems like an excuse for being lazy. And it usually doesn't last long. This is something that's been eating at me for a long time.

I just kinda feel that I can't write anymore.

I mean, I still write articles for the site sometimes and I write other texts at my work, but it seems like, creatively, I've dried up. I'll come up with ideas

On story expectations

by Fynn on 03-30-2016 at 11:57 AM
So this is kind of a general discussion, but the general rant I have is based on three popular 3DS RPGs: Bravely Default, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and Shin Megami Tensei IV. Sorry if this is chaotic, as I'm just writing this as it comes into my mind. Also, spoilers from the three games abound.

All of those games were very well received, though for different reasons. SMT is kind of here to serve as a neutral ground, as the evaluation of its story is pretty divided, whereas the consensus

Character Appreciation: Junpei Iori

by Fynn on 03-30-2016 at 10:37 AM
This is in no way an idea I stole from Pumpkin, no siree.

Junpei Iori is a character from the Persona franchise. He first appears in Persona 3 and all of its subsequent releases as a playable party member. He becomes a social link character as well in the female path of Persona 3 Portable, though he isn't date-able. He is also playable in
