At the end of every turn, it reduces one of your stats by 1 stage, and boosts another stat by 2 stages. The stats chosen are completely random, and can be anything, including accuracy and evasion. There is no way to control it, and no real way to stop or counter it.

Let's say you had a physical attacker.

You could, for example, get Special Attack down by 1, just as if you were Captivated, and then get Evasion boosted by 2, just as though you used Minimize. Which sucks for the person you're facing, because now they can't hit you. And you didn't even have to use a move, it just happens at the end of every turn.

Or you could get Accuracy -1, as though you'd been hit by Sand Attack, and then get Special Attack +2, as though you had used Nasty Plot. And suddenly you can't hit anything but your Special Attack is through the roof!

That happens EVERY TURN. Hence why it's banned from competition. It can be silly, since it is just complete randomness (much like Metronome), but it can also be really broken. Before it was banned, there were Bibarels sweeping Ubers.

Should I allow Moody or not? There are two Pokémon who are showing up in the egg pool who can have that ability. It's the secret ability for both. It's banned competitively, but this is just for fun. I can get rid of it or keep it easily enough, just not sure which to do. It can be really annoying, but it can also be really silly. Advice please.

What is the time difference between us, anyway? I mean, your "going to bed" came at 3:50 PM to me. Going to bed a little early.

Anyway, I have the most hilarious ways to get more Pokémon in: I am probably the only person in the world to breed my HM slaves for high stats. I don't know if I'm going to let the Bidoof keep the Moody that I have on it right now (Moody is banned competitively due to being so heavily luck based). But a Bidoof and a Tropius will be joining the ranks.
