Different strokes for different folks. It's been teasing summer here, and I'm looking forward to the weekend because it's going back to showers. Hell it actually snowed here last week and I'm actually cool with it.

Yeah, I'm trying to regain my former discipline and actually stick to a schedule on things. I'm trying to set an actual time in the evening where I just write now. I'm also thinking of going back to a demo tape I was making to see if I can send it out and get some fun side work to do.

Sorry to hear you're tired. Hopefully you can get some R&R and feel better.

I wrote a bit last night on Soul, and tonight I started my next entry for the FF retrospective. I've been getting into an FF mood again which is nice.

    How are you doing?

I'm going to rework the Waiting story. I've been way too unhappy with the present parts and I need to flesh out the past sequences as well. While I always intended for the old man to be the actual main character of the narrative, the POV character is just too uninteresting to keep the sequences in-between interesting.

I really need to buckle down and get back to writing. I need to set myself up a schedule I feel, and I hate following schedules.

I still plan on writing a bit more today, though I'm likely going to go back to my main novel for a bit.

Finished Lilo and Stitch world, I may jump back to the Mirage Arena to clear up some events before moving onto Neverland. First, I'm heading back to Disney Town to finish the minigame hell and to also take advantage of using the Thunder Style to get access to the rest of the underground dungeon in there.

I'm still debating how far I really want to go with each playthrough here as I'm slowly losing momentum for the marathon.

Making slow progress, but I finished Disney Town for the moment and also tackled Hercules. I really wonder if someone on the KH team ranks Hercules as their favorite film, because with the exception of Fragmentary Passage and 3D, it's the most consistently appearing world in the mythos. I did forget how much I liked seeing Zack though.

In writing, I'm slowly working my way through editing and fixing the Elly short story I sent you. I wanted to finish it and send it to my artist. Even though Elly's on hiatus for me, it was an easy project I'm close to finishing that I'm hoping will get me back into the swing of writing again.

Told you it has been awhile since I played it.

    Very likely.

In BbS news, after a few attempts and getting my ass kicked by that silly old bear, I finally got Tigger to drop the High Jump skill and actually acquired it along with Thundaga. I unlocked my first rare command Ars Solum which is nice, but I'm not quite ready to use tier two skills just yet. Hell, I'm having a hard enough time keeping enemies alive long enough to activate Tier Two style transformations.

I fought Braig, who is easily one of the most annoying fights in Terra's story since he's a teleport spamming asshole and Terra's Block is not nearly as generous as Sora's. With that all done, I'm off to see the next set of world's but I'm going to use my new access to High Jump and Air Dash to revisit the old worlds and find the remaining sticker pieces and chests I'm missing. You likely already know this, but Final Mix added a sticker album similar to KHII's puzzle piece shenanigans. I cleared out Snow White's world and acquired Fission Firaga, which I wasn't expecting. I also seem to have unlocked Zantesuken in the shop which I may pick up since I don;t feel like trying to make it through melding. Once I clear the first four worlds of their stuff, I'll hit up the Mirage Arena to get as far as I can and will finally move onto Toon Town. For some reason, I totally spaced that Hercules world was in this game even though it's been in every KH game.

    That's very true.

Neat to hear it has a subtle call back. I feel Atlus the Persona team has always been pretty good about it. Now if I can only get my Satomi Drug Store back into the series...

Part of your world

by Fynn on 06-06-2017 at 04:37 PM
So there's this nagging issue I've had for quite some time now. It's a pretty abstract issue but one I think is pretty interesting and perhaps even important to share nonetheless. For many reasons, it has only become more pronounced recently.

As some of you may know, I want to be a writer. I try to do as much writing as I can. I even do writing for a living, though as an SEO copywriter, it's not exactly that I have an opportunity to spread my creative wings as part of what keeps giving

On FFVII (part of my Fmarathon rant)

by Fynn on 11-23-2016 at 11:16 AM
Decided this is worthy of being a blog-post, since it turned out to be a much bigger rant than I expected and I'm not sure the marathon's audience is really there for that kind of stuff

Frustrations of the writerly sort

by Fynn on 07-01-2016 at 11:13 AM
So there's this thing I've been struggling for quite some time. I don't want to call it a "writer's block" because it kind of seems like an excuse for being lazy. And it usually doesn't last long. This is something that's been eating at me for a long time.

I just kinda feel that I can't write anymore.

I mean, I still write articles for the site sometimes and I write other texts at my work, but it seems like, creatively, I've dried up. I'll come up with ideas

On story expectations

by Fynn on 03-30-2016 at 11:57 AM
So this is kind of a general discussion, but the general rant I have is based on three popular 3DS RPGs: Bravely Default, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and Shin Megami Tensei IV. Sorry if this is chaotic, as I'm just writing this as it comes into my mind. Also, spoilers from the three games abound.

All of those games were very well received, though for different reasons. SMT is kind of here to serve as a neutral ground, as the evaluation of its story is pretty divided, whereas the consensus

Character Appreciation: Junpei Iori

by Fynn on 03-30-2016 at 10:37 AM
This is in no way an idea I stole from Pumpkin, no siree.

Junpei Iori is a character from the Persona franchise. He first appears in Persona 3 and all of its subsequent releases as a playable party member. He becomes a social link character as well in the female path of Persona 3 Portable, though he isn't date-able. He is also playable in
