I've been eyeing Romancing SaGa 2 as well, but money is a bit tight and I am hoping it will get a price drop soonish. The only true entry I've played is FF Legends 2 years ago. I don't think I've gotten past the intro of any other entry I've tried to play. Hoping to change that soon.

I'm finding that I may need to eventually draw a map. Since my world deals with a lot of historical elements and war, it seems too weird to not have a more grounded sense of geography since characters name drop places and the important events that happen there all the time.

In other news, I think when I finish Chrono Cross, I'm actually going to attempt SaGa Frontier 2 again.

Glad it's coming along. I had to backtrack to an older chapter to remember what I had a character say to add consistency. I think when I wrote the newest chapter, my memory of that scene was based on an older draft so I'm embarrassed I'm forgetting my own story now.

How do you deal with geography? I've been name dropping places but in my head, I don't really have a map of what the world looks like yet. Been a real pain since I'm sure I'm going to have a mistake somewhere due to this.

I have one story with a few of them in it, and I feel it says a lot about how I feel about them because I basically have most of them wiped out in the first planned book.

I just don't write stories with orcs for the most part. I tend to ignore high fantasy races.

Very true, my only fear is that he's the type of character who would only work in a specific type of fantasy fiction I tend to loath. Basically he's a dandy orc who wants to be sophisticated so he tends to prefer the sophisticated touch of humans despite being an orc. Think Pierre from Chrono Cross but as an orc.

He's not good enough to star in his own story, but he's an amusing support character at least.

I'm not terribly interested is the issue. I just came up with an amusing character was all, but I may just keep him for a future story idea.

It is a quirky series. Right now I need to finish off Chrono Cross.

Actually the interesting thing about MGSV is that it doesn't really do standard quests. Sometimes you have to collect documents or catch a rare animal, but due to the nature of the gameplay, it almost always boils down to infiltration missions. What helps the game is the Mother Base mechanic, where capturing enemy soldiers means that backtracking through smaller strongholds still retain value, but also the open ended nature on how you can complete missions helps give missions life as you can attempt it a few times and never get the same results usually as there are often multiple entrance ways or means of accomplishing your goals. Give the game excellent replay value, but that's almost a hallmark of the franchise really.
