But yeah, my attitude on the Catholic Church and religion in general isn't even the most scathing. For all the faults I feel it has, it can, and does, do good. I only wish it did more.

Really, if I didn't care for the Church, I wouldn't bother or care about it. It's because I think it can be so much better than it is that I complain.

Fair enough, and there's a lack of body language too. I just hate bickering with friends. It's just more time wasted.

You say that, but you sounded incredibly defensive.

Well, I'm on the final semester before I get my Associate's Degree. So I'm taking four classes, and I'm working full time. And then I start a brand new job at the end of May, right after I graduate. So, while it's all exciting, I feel so worn down and overwhelmed at times.

In future though, I'll just learn to shut up in and be done with it. No-one would particularly like to hear my opinions anyway.

Surely you mean 'our'? As much as I do carry my 'rebel' badge with pride, I am a Christian.

The Church does however, not like extra-marital sex. And it won't marry gay people because, for now, marriage is interpreted as between man and woman. That's it. No "gay is an abomination" or anything like that. It's literally just about that.

All true, but you're ignoring the Church's fierce resistance towards gay adoption. Now, it is easy to see why. They dislike same-sex marriage, and because children should be raised within marriage (if you look at my Anglican Communion thread, you'll find arguments that children make a marriage), then gay people aren't suited to adopt children because they can't marry.

Annoying, but it holds a certain amount of logic.

Just the fact that Pope Francis actively communicates with members of the LGBT community and discusses this issues should be proof enough.

To be commended, though some people will question how long it will take for communication to turn into action. I'm more lenient on Pope Francis than most I know.

Sorry, any discussion on Christianity with me is going to be tainted, due to my bad experiences with the Church and Christians in general. If I jump to conclusions, it's a reflexive defence.
