Yep. sharky and I live in his aunt and uncle's guest house. We were told we could live here indefinitely. (Long story short, sharky lived a few hours away and after he got divorced his dad wanted him to go work for the family business and one of the things they agreed on was sharkys dad would pay his housing. His aunt and uncle agreed to rent him the guest house for very cheap).

Anyways, they got a dog about a year ago maybe (between 6 months and a year) and they made no effort to train her and refused sharkys offers to take her for walks and get her used to us. Well the dog hates us and barks at us for hours, but then again she barks for hours for no reason. But when we walk by she will charge at us and nip at our heels and stuff. So to prevent her from biting us, we walk towards her because she won't charge us if we're looking at her.

So they decided that us walking towards her to prevent being bitten is us "scaring their dog", they made zero effort to train her, and basically just don't want to deal with the situation so they are kicking us out. Because the dog doesn't like us.

To add insult to injury, they are making us sign a waver saying if the dog bites us they aren't liable (even though they are because they never trained the friggin dog). I mean first of all, we wouldn't have sued, and second of all, how much concern is really for us here? Practically none. I don't know who they were talking to that put this crap in their head but it is awful and I don't know how they justify this to themselves

It's not so bad. I'm mostly just stressed and upset over being evicted because a friggin dog dislikes us

I'll check them out and leave feedback. Will probably get my prompt done tonight or tomorrow but it might wait until the weekend because I'm doing a ton of speech writing

There's no timer, but the game does track turns to complete each fight, then recaps it at the end of the game for you (along with the best unit pair in each fight). So see how well you can do. There are actually a couple of maps that you can complete in one turn.

I'd play Easy - Classic for your first run. Hard - Classic is probably the most fun, but if you haven't played a Fire Emblem game before, Easy is probably going to have enough of an edge to make it engaging.

Perma-death isn't that bad, because you can always restart a chapter if you lose someone (and unlike some other Fire Emblem games I could mention, this one doesn't auto save a death count even if you reset). I almost always prefer to play with perma-death on, because I'll reset anyway if I lose a character. It's just how I play RPGs: No one can die. Period. The real advantage of Casual Mode is the ability to save midway through a battle. While this lets you retry difficult parts of fights without doing a whole chapter (which can be big), it also gives you access to two additional save spots which can only be used for in-battle saves. Since I think three spots is actually pretty small, especially when you get into replays and optimization runs, this can be a huge help. For a straight first-time play, though, three should be fine.
