That's sort of how I am with danmaku shmups. You have bullets coming at you in all directions in gorgeous patterns (see my YouTube profile for an example), and one hit means instant death. It's VERY intimidating until you learn the patterns and learn to focus only on what's important. It's a beautiful thing, really.
