When I was in 8th grade I took my Giga Pet to Sea World and it got wet during the Shamu show and died, so I put it in my sock drawer. Several weeks later I looked at it and it had dried out, come back to life, and I had an adult monkey covered in his own feces.

It's weird how you expect them to be ruined forever, but then they dry out and they're fine.
