I've broken a collarbone before, but never a finger. I must be a wimp as well then because the pain was almost intolerable.

You should write a letter to the editor about his uncaring behaviour.

I've broken a finger before. It hurts (but that's imo and I'm a wimp), but it's more annoying because it becomes harder to write a letter to the editor and when I've finally finished the editor no longer cares about my letter.
