Oh I'm not interested in sexy. But they're both big, stoic, and purely male races, which is obviously not an issue itself and both cultures are undoubtedly rich, but I want to create a contrast with the first two so it doesn't seem like it will be same-same. I was considering Moogles but then I believe Bolivar is working on something re: them so I'm just toying with alternatives. Burmecian/Cleyrans are high on my list too, they have a heap of interesting features just on the surface.

Galka sound cool, but it almost seems too similar to the Shumi at a cursory glance. Racial prejudice sounds kickass though, and definitely something I will let Raistlin know about for our racism series. I'll look into these FFXI races though, see if anything jumps out at me straight up. It will be interesting to see how far I can go back though; a lot of the earlier games are very very light on background exposition. Finding trout out about Shumi was hard enough, I spent way too long reading scripts and trout.

That would be challenging, but it could provide interesting insight to the racial diversity and racism levels of EoFF

I'm all for Final Fantasy XI, as it is interesting and under appreciated, but what about looking into the Final Fantasy XIV races to try and encourage interest in that? I would love to help compel people to play by including some sexy Miqo'te pictures, for instance

Wonderful! Also, do you have further recommendations or requests for race profiling? I did the Shumi but I don't know where to go next, and seeing as you were the inspiration, I thought I would ask your fine self.

We can only hope! I've got a couple of articles I gotta pitch soon, and hopefully I can get one up. I'm not even that fussed about getting paid for the first one, I just need the confidence boost.

It's the first step. I know I can do it. I just need to get that first thing published for the boost. I'm one of the least confident people I know. I try real hard to compensate though, so that's why you get the strange impression fake it til you make it!

That's pretty awesome of them. Free t-shirts is nothing to scoff at either, wow. There are always really nice people out there, I hope I can get myself a kickass boss who shows some good spirit eventually.
