Yeah, Shadow Pokemon were awful and weak (and suicidic as well) but that's what made them so awesome. They added so much more challenge to the game. As for being able to catch so limited Pokemon (and only during trainer battles) that also made the game much more challenging. Only being able to catch Pokemon during trainer battles actually made you have to hold back on them instead of going all out since you needed to weaken and snag their Shadow Pokemon rather than beat it as quickly as possible. Also, limiting the Pokemon you can catch was a nice change of pace since it disallowed you to use cheap Pokemon (like Alakazam and Blaziken) to complete the game and added more strategy to the game. I'll admit that the World Map may have been a step down from the portable games, but seeing how there's no gyms in the Gamecube games since you're doing more important things than defeating gym leaders there's not much of a point in having a lot of towns since you don't need a town for each gym since there isn't any.

I take it that you're not good at difficult games that really restrict your strategies and don't find any enjoyment in them right?

Uh huh, yeah, sure. Shadow Pokemon, an epic storyline compared to the portable Pokemon Games, awesome music, characters that were more memorable than the ones in the portable Pokemon games, character developement within some of the villains. I don't think so.

He's the greatest thing that ever happened to Pokemon of course!! :rolleyes2
