Hell, maybe you did and I didn't recognise it! Pshaw, just roll it into the student debt. What's another couple thou? No time like the present!
100,000%. I love getting to figure out new cultures, and architecture, food, and language all paint the picture. I'm honestly shocked I never got caught in any shenanigans when I was in NZ! I was there for three months, and no earthquakes or catastrophes yo you wanna go paris next year? I'm gonna have to head across Europe way around Augustish anyway, and it's much less work for me than having to fly all the way to feckin' NZ xD Bahahaha I love it! Gotta use that PhD for something, eh? I am very glad I did the TEFL thing early on.
Man, I love me some nice architecture. I'll have to get Chiang Mai in; it was in deliberation when I went to Thailand, but I wanted island holiday. A dust storm in Pompeii... or a volcanooooo?! It's very vogue to say you don't like Paris, but any time people are questioned about it they give wanky, meaningless answers, like "it's overrated". xD I fully cities almost universally, but I like Paris. It's a wonderful city and a wonderful place. Tourists etc. are all annoying, but that's true everywhere. I lived there for half a year and it was great.
UGH! YOUR LIST IS SO GOOD! I never went to Chiang Mai, but I absolutely loved Thailand. I was in Koh Tao for three weeks and it was just amazing. I've not done much of the Mediterranean beyond south of France, but Pompeii sounds dope. I also need to visit Athens at some point. I love Paris, too. It's a wonderful city, particularly in August when all the Parisians leave xD
I'd love to do an all-expenses stay somewhere beautiful one day. Might do something Caribbeaney or Colombiaey once COVID is a memory. Ooh, what are the other 4 places?
I'm a big old cheapo, and I've had some absolute nightmare hostel experiences as a result. xD NZ was mostly good, though. I've never been to Vietnam, though!
When I eventually make it back to NZ in 2027 or whatever, I'll chef for you in exchange for not having to rent out a hostel room xD Although Wellington hostels were actually pretty nice, to be fair. Definitely among the best I had.
At least you feel popular now, right? I'm doing a good thing(?). tbh same here for ages. I only really got into it properly this year after realising I spent literally all my money on Uber for the previous 3 years xD chicken and mushroom soup with rice tomoz and i cannot feckin wait god i love eating so much
I realise I've now given us two consecutive conversations. Everyone's a terrible cook to begin with. I just do what the recipe says and it tends to work pretty good. Made a quinoa berry salad with citrussy chicken the other day, and it was fully orgasmic.
It's also the oldest form of alcohol, which is cool! Who doesn't love history? Boooo! The making is the cooking; it's like a lovely song or a dance that you get to play around with plus, once you've had your fun, you get to eat tasty things! What's not to love?
