My roommate returned from his hometown Christmas Eve to ensure I wasn't alone for Christmas, which was really lovely of him. We had a dinner with our friend that Eve, then Christmas Day proper I ate leftovers, messaged family, had a call with sister, then roomie and I took mushrooms and watched The Night Before. It was a very pleasant day, overall.

Jan 2026 is the latest that I'll start looking seriously. I'm working from $0 net worth at the start of this year, so have a lot of work and savings to do and build, but Jan 2026 is the latest. I'm probably gonna do New Brunswick, but Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are all also good. Get me some chickens and some goats and get to gardening.

Blegh. I want to just get a nice quiet 20 acres or so in the countryside and start my little homestead. Good thing about Canada is that, while it's all still very expensive, there are a lot of quiet places. It's a ridiculously big place. xD

Ung, I want to go back to NZ so bad. It was on my top two when I was making a choice where to emigrate; opted for Canada due to having friends here already, but I do often sometimes regret it. I hear land is a mothersmurfer to buy in NZ, though, so maybe I made the right choice for my plans!
