I actually really adore VIII's plot. Poor VIII ;_; I like that XII was different from the latest FF games, but at the same time it just felt like Tactic's plot dumbed down for the masses and not much else. I've seen it before, and I think I expected a little more...I dunno. If I wanted to see all that, I would have just watched my Star Wars prequels again. But I was addicted to the battle system, despite it being tilting a stick.

Yeah, this one is definitely behind VII, X and IX. Though, I think it does top VIII. I have mixed feeling about this game. The plot is weak, but at the same time, it's at least different. Also the game play and battle system where fantastic. I'm not saying they should keep the battle system like this for every installment, but it was a welcome change nonetheless. Also, I absolutely <3 some of the towns in this game. Rabanastre is probably one of my favorite cities in any RPG. Everything feels so alive, especially when you first start playing it. All the different races, the bazaar, it all comes together rather nicely.

Wait until you get to the more-or-less final dungeon which takes 10 months to get through. I enjoy FFXII, and if its storyline was a little stronger I would have awarded it second greatest (as nothing will beat X for me). Xenosaga III > FFXII. HOLY SNAPS.

I think I'll write you a nice long review of FF XII and send it to you as a PM. ^_^ I'm just kidding. This game is freaking long, since this is my first play through, I'm not using a guide or getting much bonus stuff (super duper weapons) But I am doing some hunts here and there, plus exploring the world, plus playing the main game. I racked in over 80 hours of game play already, and I'm only 3/4 through the game.

Edit: Why have you become Tidus's bitch. You need to show him who's boss. Throw a blitzball at his head if you need to.

That XII will soak up whatever life you had and leave you a big corpse on the ground. So I understand perfectly well the feeling you're having .
