Well, the children are extant characters, but they are underdevelped. Which I thought was a pity. The only thing is I found Henry a more compelling character than Alex, so I conflated the best elements of both games.

You can see playthroughs of all five games on Youtube. Cheaper than renting them at least.

The town where SH5 is set. The main character is Alex Shepard, who is decended from one of the founders of the town, hence the name. I don't want to spoil it for you, so lets just say that the game begins with him returning there after being treated for combat-related PTSD.
