Well I certainly recommend it if you find the time for it.

I wouldn't say I have a "bible" or anything. I have a couple documents, like one is about the characters, one is a couple details about the world, and one is that stupid synopsis that at this point I wish I hadn't done. Still, I will probably need to work on the others a little bit, so that I have all the references in place. It helps that I've recently purchased Scrivener - hopefully that will help me work more effectively from now on!

Even if you decide against posting any of your stuff on the forum, you can always mognet me. I'll be glad to give you feedback. The stuff I wrote is pretty messy and needs a thorough rewrite as well, so don't worry about it

It's always good to read a lot of different things and I still just don't read enough. I always read little, but it got really better by now. I still think there's room for improvement. Still, I'm trying to make my way through both a Song of Ice and Fire and the Witcher right now, so I'm pretty occupied when it comes to books right now I can tell those have influenced some of my shorts when I look back at them. It's funny how you mentioned Xenogears, as it has influenced me many times already, along with other games, not consciously and unconsciously.

The two chapters I mentioned are here, if you ever feel like taking a look: http://home.eyesonff.com/showthread....-from-my-novel

It's kind of on hold now. I find Eden much more productive now. I think writing out a synopsis of every chapter first was a big mistake in hindsight, since I poured all my creative energy into it and I cannot finish chapter three now, and the story has evolved beyond that plan anyway. Though I have recently drawn some of my characters from that novel again and some of the spark has returned, so I may actually come back to it sooner than I thought

Im actually writing it as a YA novel with shifting POVs. It's an urban fantasy story that's supposed to shift into post-apocalyptic territory about midway through. I intend it to start off like a typical Harry Potter-esque "boy discovers magic is real" story, but then develop into something much, much darker. The idea was much simpler back in high school when I wrote a "first chapter", which was very similar, but also very different from the current draft. There was even a period where I considered making the story a comic instead of a novel, but sadly, I am not confident in my artistic skills quite enough to do that Hey, if you're ever interested, the first drafts of the two chapters I have written are in Timber Maniacs

Even though I'm on a break with this story, I keep telling myself I'll come back to it. For a lot of reasons, it's very personal for me and I want to see it out there with people reading it, I don't care if they like it or not.

Life can be rough. I'm debating going back to school now but its scary and risky so I don't know. But I hope things go well for you! I need to write too. Haven't touched my story since NaNo >.>

I'm oki. Trying to get through my games list still but too absorbed in one game to move on yet xD Bit worried about DQVIII because I've heard it is a veeery long game and the little while I tried of it a year ago or so I didn't really enjoy. But I'm going to try to give it a fair chance. Oh and Disgaea because hard

I have other things to catch up with...

by Wolf Kanno on 04-09-2025 at 07:53 AM
I know I already have a lot on my plate, but I do want to finish a few other things besides writing projects and my various marathons.

I like to do gunpla and other mecha themed model kits, and I still have six more I need to finish. I have the old MG line of Gundam Wing Endless Waltz models from back in the early 2000s and I still need to put together the Tallgeese III to complete the set. I also recently picked up the EW version of Gundam Epyon from the same series because GW was

Games tha are distracting me from playing other games...

by Wolf Kanno on 12-10-2023 at 06:09 AM
Since I'm doing a marathon, I thought it would be fun to list the games that are distracting me from actually finishing said marathon.

FFXV ~ MGS: Peace Walker and SaGa Scarlet Graces
FFXIII ~ Breath of Fire 1-3 and MechCommander Gold
XIII-2 ~ Romancing Saga Re:Universe and FF: Opera Omnia

Will update more in the future...

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit
