I could go into how your thought on that series is just plain wrong, but tis for another day, that argument.

And none of the handheld KH games have interested me, only completely confused me by the fact they seem to pick a handheld at random to put one on...

That being said, Imma get the new harvest moon game tomorrow!

The problem is that, while it was what I was expecting, thats all I got. It was known it was going to be a nostolgic game, using traditional turn based systems and themes, which I was fine with.

The problem is there is nothing more to this game then that, and it doesn't do like BoF II did, which was use all classical systems amazingly well.

It's really nothing more then subpar gameplay with uninteresting characters.

And while we're at it smurf Atellier Annie. I'd say it treats you like a kid, as it's a kids game, but this game treats you like you're retarded. I get a flashback to Digimon data squad saying 'In a one on one fight, the character with the higher speed goes first. The character with the lower speed goes second.' Really game? I thought I'd go fifth. Thank you for clearing that up for me...

And it tries way to damn hard to be funny. I laughed only when the granpa's letter randomnly ends in 'P.S. I think I may need dentures soon.'

On an unrelated note, I've managed to increase the list of video game babes from Protos tournament to 147 people...

One of my favorite additions to the list being Serge's Mom from Chrono Cross...

Don't worry, the elves in this game are either slaves or homeless.

Bah, thats been said about every fighting game in existance, and in almost every scenario Button mashing will never work on someone who knows what they are doing.

Though as far as 'feeling' button mashy, the new one is far better about not feeling so, in that it is very un-button masher friendly compared to previous installments. ;p

And I revise my earlier statement on Dragon Age. It seems that I have to want to play it in order to get immersed in it. If I feel like that or another game, I'll pick the other game. It would need to be enough want to where another game isn't an option for me to enjoy it.

Why this is I have no idea, but It's freakin' awesome when I really want to play it.

And if you are playing a human female noble, the conversations with your family have potential for epic comedy.

...Plus you can bed an elven maid.

Soul Caliber wasn't as fun after 2, though Tira was hot.

Really Hot. Though I think I'm about the only one who thinks so...

And really? Soul caliber feels a bit slower then Tekken, so it's odd you'd play that one over Tekken given your issues with them.

6 is basically 3 and 5, but seriously fine tuned.

And I do like a good 2D fighter, 3D is my preferance. Though BlazeBlu is easily my favorite 2D fighter to date. Much love for Rachel.

He's a really big wrestler, and the guy who killed Armored King. Didn't make an appearance until 4 though.

You need a ps3 and Tekken 6 though. If only for Zafina and her cat girl costume.

I have other things to catch up with...

by Wolf Kanno on 04-09-2025 at 07:53 AM
I know I already have a lot on my plate, but I do want to finish a few other things besides writing projects and my various marathons.

I like to do gunpla and other mecha themed model kits, and I still have six more I need to finish. I have the old MG line of Gundam Wing Endless Waltz models from back in the early 2000s and I still need to put together the Tallgeese III to complete the set. I also recently picked up the EW version of Gundam Epyon from the same series because GW was

Games tha are distracting me from playing other games...

by Wolf Kanno on 12-10-2023 at 06:09 AM
Since I'm doing a marathon, I thought it would be fun to list the games that are distracting me from actually finishing said marathon.

FFXV ~ MGS: Peace Walker and SaGa Scarlet Graces
FFXIII ~ Breath of Fire 1-3 and MechCommander Gold
XIII-2 ~ Romancing Saga Re:Universe and FF: Opera Omnia

Will update more in the future...

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit
