Let's see, pay 1500 gils for running shoes, or use the run button? Running shoes, run button? Running shoes, run button?

Did people complain about not being able to go faster without the Sprint Shoes or something?

Original version. I was originally going to review the PS1 version, but I got my hands on the original earlier this month so decided to go with that.

Do you want to buy a Fenix Down?

Ohh, the relics. I do enjoy them. My only regret is not buying more of the relics that increase your speed. I didn't think the group would get split up the way they did.

There's a customization system? Told you I was slow.

Speaking of bosses, I had something funny happen while doing the one on one boss with Sabin. He was explaining the blitz move to me (I can't believe I didn't get that as a kid), and said "Don't worry if you get it wrong, there's no rush." What happens next? Boss kills me in the next hit. Don't worry, huh? That seems pretty worrisome to me!

Also, Edgar's tools are the best.

I enjoy talking to people like you and Fynn about it because I do think its interesting and you both present your thoughts well. And you're also not jerks when you disagree. I was joking with Fynn because so far 2 of his top games are on my didn't make the cut list xD

But some people are kinda jerky and I know I have some unpopular games on my list that most people think are trash, like SO4, and Hyperdimension Neptunia V. I mean, I like them regardless of what people think, but it still sucks when people put you down for having different tastes, you know?

Probably won't happen as I've only seen a few members like that, but I'm a very non-confrontational person so it still makes me nervous. But I'm still excited for it. My favourite thing about the whole project is it got me to try out a bunch of games I otherwise wouldn't have and I found some new ones that I really like. Like the Agarest War and Rune Factory games

4 is the only one I haven't beat. Sooner or later I need to run through the other DMC games for my reviews. I already reviewed the original and the reboot.

I don't find any actual fault in it, it's just not something I'm used to. If there is any fault I can see right now is that the game may be too easy, but I knew that going in, and most of them are easy. I think I only had two parts that gave me trouble, and a lot of close calls where I thought I was going to die only to rise above at the last minute like I was Hulk Hogan or something. You have to put in actual effort to die in this game.

I'm not sure what you'll think of the rest of my didn't make the cut list. Might be a few games you like. I definitely know I have some on my top games list that'll make you shake your head :P

I think everyone is going to shake their head at how high up Star Ocean 4 is. I'm the only person who likes that game xD

The only Devil May Cry game I beat fairly was the reboot. The first three I used cheat codes.

I've had mixed feelings on VI so far. I seem to switch from enjoying the game, to being bored, to finding it frustrating. Though the only parts I find frustrating is when they do something different like the moogle switching when protecting Terra, or the raft surfing when you have to keep Banon alive.

I'll go in to more detail in my review but the long story short is basically I think it's a quality game, but it didn't grab me the way the games on my top list did. The games that made the list were all games I was sad when they ended and I wanted to replay them. VI just... didn't do that for me. To each their own I guess :P

I hated him so much until I figured out how to put characters in the back row.

I'm kind of slow. This is why I will never stream my games.

Games tha are distracting me from playing other games...

by Wolf Kanno on 12-10-2023 at 06:09 AM
Since I'm doing a marathon, I thought it would be fun to list the games that are distracting me from actually finishing said marathon.

FFXV ~ MGS: Peace Walker and SaGa Scarlet Graces
FFXIII ~ Breath of Fire 1-3 and MechCommander Gold
XIII-2 ~ Romancing Saga Re:Universe and FF: Opera Omnia

Will update more in the future...

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 02:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit
