I mean, maybe we can! It’s only be appropriate, especially since it’s relstively fresh in my mind! Maybe we can convince Psy in some way? A totally legal, ethical way where no one gets hurt Is honestly be up for both topics if possible. Could be a good segue

It’s all good, man. I myself have been pretty ridiculously busy with home life stuff lately, so it’s not like I’m really saying we should do it now - this was more of a reminder and a question of you still wanna do it. Hope the family drama isn’t giving you too much grief!

We need to do that FF villain talk, now that I think about it. We were supposed to do it on January and January is basically over now

It has to be. It’s really up to me at this point. If I don’t write this story, no one will

Maybe. But really, I think this is pretty much just growing pains. Even though I’ve been writing for a while, I feel likr only now I’m actuallybhonkng a skill and that it requires actual work and commitment. I really hope this is just a painful step to becoming pro.

Same, pretty much. Haven’t written more than like two sentences this week since there’s been quite a bit going on. Not to mention everything I write *still* feels like crap. But I really want to keep going.

    Awesome Looking forward to it!

How’s writing been coming along for you lately?

Speaking of gooey relationship stuff - will you be taking part in this year’s V-day story contest? If not, maybe you’d prefer to be a judge?

    Well then.

Guess we need to add this to our list of disputed topics

Still, it’s not exactly Status Quo is God here. Like, as underwhelming as the reveal was, Mulder’s drive is different after the reveal of his suster’s ultimate date in season seven, and nothing is ever really the same after his abduction. Scully is a full-on Mulder at this point, and not just because she’s trying to make up for the gap he left behind (as was the case in season 8) but because she’s actually decided that after so many episodes she can actually safely believe in aliens and junk now, and would probably be the main believer if it weren’t for the fact that Reyes is almost comically new agey (though I still love her). Her abduction and cancer haven’t been mentioned in a while, since they’ve mostly been overshadowed by Mulder’s own abduction and even Scully’s baby. And then there’s Doggett - even Doggett who’s only here for two seasons had character development as it recently turned out that he’s got an unrequited crush on Scully which is both adorable and tragic because he’s this no-nonsense guy that has his integrity and priorities and that’s precisely why he can’t do anything about it because he knows from the start that Scully loves another and it really puts his character in a totally new light while making sense in the context of the character.

This is kinda what I mean - the late seasons really shine where they differ from the source material. Sure, the Super Soldier part of the myth arc is like, incredibly dumb (if still fun to watch), but you can see how far the characters have come from where they were initially - and that includes even the latecomers, who are surprisingly fascinating.

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

by Wolf Kanno on 01-30-2020 at 08:17 PM
You know the drill…

I mentioned this in my Chain of Memories entry for my Top 100 List, but Kingdom Hearts and I have a really awkward history with each other. This is a franchise that has always been more of a guilty pleasure for me than something I actively love. Funny enough, it’s not even the basic premise that bothers me. While Final Fantasy meets Disney mash-up sounds contrived, KH has always managed to make it work since this

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra

Top 100 List Blah blah blah…. I ended up re-writing this entry because the original was a little more bitter and more like just a genuine rant than a review. With that said, a little backstory is in order.

Continuing my trend of snubbed entries in franchises, we now come back to a series that was very near and dear to me. At this point in time, the story of

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Suikoden IV Part 2 ~ Suikoden Tactics

by Wolf Kanno on 06-17-2019 at 06:25 AM

So in my last blog, I talked about the black sheep numbered entry of the Suikoden franchise, Suikoden IV. Today, we're going to look at Rhapsodia, better known as Suikoden Tactics in the West. Tactics is a gaiden title that serves as both prequel/sequel side story to Suikoden IV. What makes it really standout is that the game is no longer a turn-based RPG about collecting 108 heroes, but instead a Tactical Turn Based RPG a la Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire

My Top 100"s Lost but Not Forgotten: Suikoden IV ~ Part 1

by Wolf Kanno on 04-29-2019 at 06:53 AM
List, blah blah. Didn't make it, blah blah.

I feel I have a theme going here. Like the BoF1 entry, anyone who took a quick glance of my list will know I'm a pretty big Suikoden fan, you'll also notice I snubbed one of the main entries and most of the spin-off/gaiden games. I'll say right now, that I have to actually play Suikogaiden due to lacking the proper emulator, which is why

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Breath of Fire

by Wolf Kanno on 04-14-2019 at 10:23 PM
Blah blah blah, made a list, blah blah blah, this is for games that didn't make it.

Anyone who simply glances over my list will notice I have a strong affiliation with Capcom's classic and underrated RPG series Breath of Fire. They will also notice I left one entry out of the list, and while my BoFII entry hints as to some of the reasons, I figured I would lay it out here
