Also, I smurfing love Riki. He comes in third, very close with Dunban for me. Were it just the main plot this wouldn't be the case, but all of his Heart to Hearts with the other people have been amazing. Unlike most mascot characters, he actually feels like he's helping keep the party going forward and overall improving the mood.

Melia is awesome. Favorite character from the game, followed by Dunban.

The only thing bothering me (Currently anyway), is that I'm almost garunteeing the love interest will stay as Fiora. I want to keep her Affinity with my main as low as possible just to spite her. Her story is very interesting, and I'm very interested in Lady Meyneth, but Fiora herself? She is way to typical a 'Childhood friend' then I care for. I don't really hate her, but that nidge in my mind she will probably be the love interest makes me a bit bitter.

And, over 80 hours into the game, I Just learned I can change the in-game time.

I'm going to go cry in the corner now.

I did just learn how Melia's Element Burst worked, since I decided to switch out my main in order to build her affinities. A group of her, Fiora, and Ricki seem more then able to crush Mechon groups without the Manado. I am pondering giving her heavy armor and using her New Skill tree with Heavy Armor Bonus's and no Gem Bonus's though. Though like Dunban's No Armor bonus's, I'm not sure if it's a good move.

Currently Just met Egil's sister, and at this point it's one of the most intriging plots I've played in ages.

I think it's because of how severely Dunban put my main character to shame.

Fighting a second one, this time going in with my combo Gaige ready, I wonder why I had problems the first time. I nearly killed him with one combo, as I learned a massively buffed Dunban deals unholy amounts of damage.

Really I'm kind of sad the first tiem took so long. And I'd only gained one level between the two.

And I did not expect to beat that level 52 Fortress Guardian thing thats there as soon as you pass the gate in Sword Valley.

It was after you met Zanza. You have Melia, who regardless of having every possible reason to travel with you at this point, puts her own feelings for you asside, her feelings for revenge for her fathers death asside, and elects to stay behind in order to become the reperesentative of High Entia in order to unite the country. This was great I though.

However, Sharla comes up to her and says 'You know the distance between you to is going to make his feeling for you fade right? Awful Balsy of you to just up and 'hope' he'll come back.' Yes, yes she knows this you smurfing bitch of a woman. Thank you for rubbing this directly in her face for no reason what so ever, making this as hard on her as you possibly can. Why don't you rub the fact her very recently deceased fathers killer is on the loose while your at it, you smurfing bitch.

Yes, I do, but I will say I'm not exactly sad I'm not surprised, cause there have been some awesome moments that have come from it. I've just met the Golden Face and finally made it to Sword Valley.

Though I'm eating and getting ready to get a Mountain Dew, so I'll probably save my rant for the one thing that seriously pissed me off.

Hint: Its me getting pissed off at Sharla, who mind you I actually like. See if you can guess before I get back!

I haven't seen Fiora again yet, as I'm just at the beginnig of Prison Isle, but I'm pretty damn sure I know who it is.

I'll spoiler here for anyone reading your notes that hasn't made it this far.

(SPOILER)I'm pretty damn sure she's the third face. I loved how Zord seemed to be the father of one of Colony 9's citzens, Desiree I believe it was, and I get the feeling Metal Face is the claw guy from the tutorial.

But yeah, Reyn's button pushing was kind of pushing the boundries of believable stupidity, but hey, that's my only real nit pick so far.

Games tha are distracting me from playing other games...

by Wolf Kanno on 12-10-2023 at 06:09 AM
Since I'm doing a marathon, I thought it would be fun to list the games that are distracting me from actually finishing said marathon.

FFXV ~ MGS: Peace Walker and SaGa Scarlet Graces
FFXIII ~ Breath of Fire 1-3 and MechCommander Gold
XIII-2 ~ Romancing Saga Re:Universe and FF: Opera Omnia

Will update more in the future...

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 02:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit
