Btw, I've set up the Pokemon NaNo tracker again this year. Can't really input my word count yet because NaNo hasn't officially started, but I kinda wanna see it happen!

Please do it with me? We can be writing buddies on the NaNo website!

I'll probably just look it up. Idk, I feel like SJ is pretty damn perfect as it is. I'm happy new people will get to experience it, but I just can't help but feel that this remake isn't really targetted at me

I personally agree. But then again, it's painted in broad enough strokes to really mean anything as small or as big as they need
  4. View Conversation
That is a possibility. Though oart of me still expects them to never want to link the games through a timeline or consistent universe rules

Yeah. Can pretty much agree on that. Some people are bothered with how theyre adding difficulty altering features a la Soul Hackers, but I honestly don't care, people should be able to experience the game as they wish. There is a new dungeon, apparently, and three new endings though. I just hope its not a everybody lives" ending that renders the original endings moot

I mean, I'm personally not wild about SJR either, even though you know how much I love SJ. I have tremendous respect for Doi, but I'm really not a fan of the redone portraits. Also, Alex just reeks of Marie to me (ugggghhh), and like, why is it that the only MegaTen game that really deserves to have English voice actors due to its international setting gets stuck with the Japanese VA? Friggin Radiant Historia is getting an English dub, and that game's remake seems to be going full anime weeb, but SJR is stuck with Japanese?

Not gonna lie, it ticks me off

Well, of course! The meme is still funny though

Well, in the end I didn't manage to write much more. Sometimes I really hate being an adult and not being able to afford a butler who will do all the chores for me. Making meals is fun as long as you don't have something you feel you should be doing.

It's interesting how the perspective changes. For a while, I couldn't write anything at all and felt stressed when thinking about writing. Now I feel at ease writing and feel stressed when I'm unable to write as much as I planned. Wonder how long that will last, ha!

Oh, also, I heard there's actually an English patch for the Jack Bros game already. Might check it out soon, then! After all:

    (SPOILER)

Games tha are distracting me from playing other games...

by Wolf Kanno on 12-10-2023 at 06:09 AM
Since I'm doing a marathon, I thought it would be fun to list the games that are distracting me from actually finishing said marathon.

FFXV ~ MGS: Peace Walker and SaGa Scarlet Graces
FFXIII ~ Breath of Fire 1-3 and MechCommander Gold
XIII-2 ~ Romancing Saga Re:Universe and FF: Opera Omnia

Will update more in the future...

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 02:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit
