That's cool It's awesome how you get to do so much with gaming. I've never even been to a convention yet, despite there being one held in this city every year. I really wanna go next year.

I actually have a close friend who works at CDProjekt - that's the company who works on the Witcher games. He does enjoy my stories and we have been talking about maybe someday making our own game together as well

It's really good now August has been really troutty for me (to the point that I had to go into therapy) but I am much better now. I got a job - I'm an English teacher now Hope I can keep it up as my final year of uni is upon me and I need to finish my MA thesis (gendered discourse in the Disney Animated Canon - yes, I'm having fun with it ). Still, I really like the job so far and hope it continues to be satisfying. I've also been drawing a lot lately, and my novel is also finally moving forward. I've also somehow managed to keep my weekly story schedule, so I'm pretty proud of myself.

Having ready your stuff in that thread has got me thinking though, and I can see why BoB and Bolivar are grasping at straws - it really is hard to pinpoint for me what makes JRPGs special. But it's and interesting thought and I intend to ponder it some more

You know, I've been reading through that a Persona 5 thread and I agree with you completely. I don't think a game with adult characters would work just as well. But the reading through all the speculation gave me an idea for a fanfic(even though I never actually write fanfic) in the Persona universe, where the main character is a stay-at-home dad that is going through a midlife crisis and raising a teenage daughter and little son while his wife spends all get days at work, and the main underlying theme in all the "social links" would be something like chasing after lost youth or something It's something I don't think would work in a game, but in a fanfic - it might. If the idea sticks, I might try to find some time and motivation to write it and then maybe I'll post it here somewhere
