Yeah BotW is pretty involving. But also not to the degree that other open world games are, imo, as the story is really told very loosely and you can pretty much adjust your pace however you like

Yeah, for me personally an argument working in Lite’s favor is that I’d spend 90% of my playtime in handheld mode anyway, and my brother has the regular switch so I can always just swap with him if I feel like playing on the big screen. The only thing I’d really need the big switch for is the labo stuff, as I thought it’d be cool for my kid to play around with, but then by the time he’s old enough to do so there’s probably gonna be a totally new console generation with new stuff anyway

So how’s that Switch Lite serving you? I’ve actually started thinking that’s the model I should get since it’s cheaper and I can’t see trout on a TV anyway, but there’s a ton of think pieces online saying it’s not a valid choice

Not entirely sure yet. I’ve decided not to plan out too much and actually play around with the jobs more. I’m also not assigning roles from the start, as I usually do, so I’ll hopefull have some funky job combos.

Well that’s After Years done! And I’m already thinking of FFV lol. What do you think about an initial party of Knight, Thief, Monk and Blue Mage?

We should make a fan club

So I took Ceodore and Ursula and I’m pretty happy with the party! Took Cecil a while to catch up but his band with Ceodore is really nice. And Ursula is simply the best. I feel so stupid for having slept on her utility for so long

I did think about that, but considering I didn’t get to play with Cecil at all throughout the game, I kind of wanna play around with him. Especially since he’s pretty much the best character. But I’ll definitely play around with the new generation setup a bit before and see how it works for me

Somehow I knew that whatever you’d propose, Ursula would be in there somewhere It does sound like a good team though!

So last time I played TAY my final party was basically the default FFIV final party with Golbez taking Edge’s place. I’m thinking I wanna do something different now but the only thing I havevestablished so far is that I want Palom and Porom to be in there (probably) and also most likely Cecil.

Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-25-2020 at 12:43 AM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 02:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 03:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

by Wolf Kanno on 01-30-2020 at 09:17 PM
You know the drillÖ

I mentioned this in my Chain of Memories entry for my Top 100 List, but Kingdom Hearts and I have a really awkward history with each other. This is a franchise that has always been more of a guilty pleasure for me than something I actively love. Funny enough, itís not even the basic premise that bothers me. While Final Fantasy meets Disney mash-up sounds contrived, KH has always managed to make it work since this
