So, I picked up Persona 3 FES again. Maybe it's because I'm coming in this time with no expectations of how a Persona game should play, but I've been enjoying it a lot more this time around. It's weird, I think I'm actually having more fun playing this entry than Persona 5. Everything's simpler, but it feels more... streamlined as a result? Can't wait for the boss fights, those were my favorite moments in P4, and I remember being disappointed by the P5 boss fights, sans the last 2 dungeons.

Groovy! I actually have my own idea for a game as well, but knowing me, that project will never kick off and I really have no idea how to go about the whole thing,. But even if I were doing anything, I'd definitely want to compose for as many things as possible.

For now though, need to focus on writing!

If anything, I think Id rather score a game. Whether it's my own or someone else's project. Composing the one track and arrangement for Psy's game felt really rewarding.

    That's good then =P

I'm mainly asking cause I've just made the experience that I have a higher tolerance than most, at least when it comes to stories I hear people praise a lot, because I always find it interesting to see just what people see in a story even if I don't end up agreeing. Something I've had trouble with in regards to recommendations I give in the past

I hope he doesnt get mad over the fact that I want to finish my novel first

Hmm, makes sense... I guess the better question to ask is, are you easily bored? In particular in cases when not much plot is being moved forward but just setting and characters slowly but surely getting established.

So, I blame your article for this, but I had a dream toda that Yasunori Mitsuda wanted me to write a piece for his upcoming project. I was failing hard, even though he gave me the software and everything and I wanted to give up but he didnt let me. He was adamant about me composing that particular piece and just would not let go. Which is werd since I always got the impression from interviews that he isn't a very assertive person. Here he had this fierce belief in me that was so strong that he just would not take no for an answer. A very strict but loving Mitsuda.

So how important is a quick and early hook in a story to you?

That they did, and don't get me wrong, I still appreciate it. It's probablh just a bit more jarring when you've been raised in a culture much more exposed to all things Russian.

Yeah, I gave p on that bcause those level requirements are definitely steep. I don't intend to drop EP, by the way. I'll get on with it eventually, its just that other things are on my mind right now. I wonder how tough Queen Asura actyally is because I kinda won the fight with hercheap (Lilim rules)

by Wolf Kanno on 12-10-2023 at 06:09 AM
Since I'm doing a marathon, I thought it would be fun to list the games that are distracting me from actually finishing said marathon.

FFXV ~ MGS: Peace Walker and SaGa Scarlet Graces
FFXIII ~ Breath of Fire 1-3 and MechCommander Gold
XIII-2 ~ Romancing Saga Re:Universe and FF: Opera Omnia

Will update more in the future...

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 02:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit
