    lol that’s accurate

Also, now that both me and my wife are playing FFIV, I was checking some stuff and found out that Tellah is only 60 years old. This is weird to me considering how not only is Cid in the same game just six years younger but in much better condition, but Galuf is also 60 and he’s definitely much more log what I’d expect from an actual 60-year-old. Strago is 70 and I feel that makes sense and would be more accurate for Tellah, but he’s 60. He’s show to be old to the point that he loses strength upon level up and has forgotten most of his spells due to some form of dementia, so why make him only 60? I guess the only reason would be that he’s Anna’s father and she’s in her 20s, so him being around 60 when she was born would be far weirder, but they they could have easily either portrayed him as younger or just made him Anna’s grandfather who’s also her sole guardian and she’s his only descendant. Idk, it’s weird and small but it’s driving me crazy

Idk I still find the notion hilarious considering the rest of the world is basically just following in whatever the US is doing. I’m honestly more convinced the situation here wouldn’t be as extreme had it not been for Trump’s presidency

Yeah, it's been edited, and beta read and beta read etc. I just can't get anything but a form rejection from agents. I've changed up my query letter, workshopped it with groups specifically for that and zilch. So I guess it's just not marketable in current markets.

Yeah, it's been slow going. Only been querying it for OVER A YEAR now. I'm just about to the point of shelfing it honestly.

I feel you. I'm still on the querying stage of my novel. just got my 19th rejection! Woo

You know what the scariest part about all this is? Itís not just your country. The world over, weíre seeing a disturbing rise in fascism. Trump is only one symptom of this, but this wonít go away once he loses, and then when you look at Europe, thereís a baffling number of nationalist movements actually getting traction. Like, right now itís pretty bad here with an authoritative government basically taking away peopleís rights in the name of getting churchgoer votes (yikes), but theyíre still not the worst we could get - thereís a party thatís just outright nationalist that is getting more and more support, and itís mostly among young people

So honestly? Donít feel bad about America. Youíre doing just as bad as everyone else lol Itís just that some countries matter more on a global scale. No matter what the results of the election will be, though, I highly doubt that will be the end of these turbulent times. Like people will say theyíll move if Trump wins, but there is no escape. The climate and Paris agreement are one thing, but we literally cannot escape the fascists

Oh, don’t worry, I understand. I just find it amusing how you show up to say one thing and the fan girls react immediately

I’m not doing NaNo this year either tbh. On top of our own political unrest, your elections have been keeping me awake as well. What’s it like being part of a country whose elections basically decide the fate of the entire planet?

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-25-2020 at 12:43 AM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 02:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 03:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

by Wolf Kanno on 01-30-2020 at 09:17 PM
You know the drillÖ

I mentioned this in my Chain of Memories entry for my Top 100 List, but Kingdom Hearts and I have a really awkward history with each other. This is a franchise that has always been more of a guilty pleasure for me than something I actively love. Funny enough, itís not even the basic premise that bothers me. While Final Fantasy meets Disney mash-up sounds contrived, KH has always managed to make it work since this

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra

by Wolf Kanno on 12-30-2019 at 10:56 PM
Top 100 List Blah blah blahÖ. I ended up re-writing this entry because the original was a little more bitter and more like just a genuine rant than a review. With that said, a little backstory is in order.
*************************************************************************

Continuing my trend of snubbed entries in franchises, we now come back to a series that was very near and dear to me. At this point in time, the story of
