Yeah, they went through the exact jobs I told tou they'd go, so it's their first class for both of them. I'm just kind of worried the sages learn multiheal on level 34 and kazing on 38 or something. Not sure I wanna grind that high, but those spells are very helpful

I guess? Though I still think there's some place I haven't visited yet, I think. There's his castle and there's also some kind of cave nearby, so I'll probably check it out first

So I got Ramia yesterday. Not much game left now, is there? My hero is level 29, warrior is somewhere around 25, while sages are around 20. I hope I'm not under leveled. Though that cave that leads to the silver orb was really tough.

FFVII or FFVIII, which is the better game?

Note that our Xenogears Friendship hangs on teh balance of this question.

But seriously, you trout on FFVII so much and defend FFVIII and it boggles my mind.
  5. I've not had much sleep. I woke up then mum told me about david bowie. And because I thought he was so great it pains me even more to see the news media pick his life apart. I've had to avoid my parents all day what with their constant news watching.
  6. Yeah me too. People are people. They argue about trivial things, in real life and online. Some people calm down, others don't. One part of my sense of humour is where I'm making fun of myself for being scared of confrontation.

    Huh. Weird.

I'm kind of debating whether to jump into IV right away, or to take a break and just play other games (that I have lots of) first. I mean, on the one hand, I'm on a roll, so I could just keep at it, but on the other, wouldn't it be nicer to return to DQ after I've taken a breather, so there's less of a risk I'll get burnt out of something... This also doesn't factor in how I'll feel about this right after I beat III, because with both of the previous ones I just wanted to jump into the next right away...

I think I have an idea what this twist may be connected to After all, I to III are referred to as the Erdrick trilogy, and nothing so far has indicated that this world is even remotely linked to the one from I and II, so yeah. I'm waiting for it.

BTW, I heard IV to VI are called the Zenithian trilogy despite being unrelated in terms of story. Why are they called that then?

So yeah, I'm whistling while standing on ropes in that tower North of Alltrade Abbey. I seem to attract metal slimes pretty consistently.

I am currently gathering all the orbs to get the bird. Got the blue and purple one no problem. Now I got Ra's mirror and I need to expose that king in South America. But before I do that, I want to get my sages to a decent level. I also did not collect all of the treasures in the cave where I found the mirror, because at that point my priest and mage hit level 25 so I wanted to change their jobs.

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 02:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

by Wolf Kanno on 01-30-2020 at 08:17 PM
You know the drill…

I mentioned this in my Chain of Memories entry for my Top 100 List, but Kingdom Hearts and I have a really awkward history with each other. This is a franchise that has always been more of a guilty pleasure for me than something I actively love. Funny enough, it’s not even the basic premise that bothers me. While Final Fantasy meets Disney mash-up sounds contrived, KH has always managed to make it work since this
