For my last blog entry I actually wrote a poem, even though I'm not a post in the least. I also put it in Timber Maniacs. Think you'd like to have a look?

So busy. It's ridiculous. I have hardly had time for eoff and I feel bad because of it

It usually goes away for me pretty quickly. I'm just still too stressed with my MA.

That reminds me I need to see a dentist soon. I probably need to remove my lover wisdom teeth. The upper ones have grown out nicely enough.

I've restarted FFIX recently, but in general I'm in that mood. Don't know if you've ever had it. It usually comes around the beginning of summer - you have all these games you wanna play, but when you get around to it, none of them feels right. So you end up with a craving for gaming, but none of your games can satisfy you.

I've been kinda replaying it on and off on the Vita recently. I'm in chapter 2 but I recently just stopped because of technical stuff. I don't know if it's because it's on the Vita, but a lot of times the game just freezes during battle and there's nothing I can do, which is especially annoying if I haven't saved in a while. And it's usually in plot-important battles too. Dunno if it's because it's the Vita trying to run a PS3 game or whatever. Also, my dad got me the American version, but while X is on a cart so it's no problem, I had to download X-2 digitally. And no, I can't just switch accounts - everytime I want to do that, I have to restore the system and format everything. Thank goodness I can just take out the memory card first. But yeah, stupid Sony. At least I have an American account! I can buy Xenogears and Chrono Cross... As soon as I get my hands on an American PSN card. Because it won't accept European credit cards.

    Gaming has become so frustrating

The game is easy enough to beat it without really grinding much, IMO. But yeah, if you wanna get all the skills, you need to grind.

It's important to remember that exp. is rewarded based on participation and AP is awarded either by felling a foe (all girls get 1 point this way) or performing a job-specific skill (only the user of the skill gets the point). That way it's not as nightmarish as it seems, but I really hate it when the game gives you experience based on participation.

Sigh... I so want XII on the Vita

    XII does everything best, though

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 02:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

by Wolf Kanno on 01-30-2020 at 08:17 PM
You know the drill…

I mentioned this in my Chain of Memories entry for my Top 100 List, but Kingdom Hearts and I have a really awkward history with each other. This is a franchise that has always been more of a guilty pleasure for me than something I actively love. Funny enough, it’s not even the basic premise that bothers me. While Final Fantasy meets Disney mash-up sounds contrived, KH has always managed to make it work since this
