The delicate balance of the Warring Triad will be disturbed if you don't post those last two RPGs soon Nice to see you are still in the forum by the way...enjoy your posts. See you around

Indeed. I went with Bravely Default in the end as I loved what I played when I first got it... but then I got distracted by other games or something. I really don't have the time to devote to RPGs anymore. It's a shame that's my favorite genre. You should let me know how you feel about Four Heroes of Light. I really want to play that game someday, but it's hard to come by.

Have you played Radiant Historia and Bravely Default? I just beat Innocent Sin, and I'm trying to decide which of these I should go to next. i think I want to take a break before I move to Eternal Punishment.

That's it! I can see it! I really wasn't sure if it was due to the writing of his social link, or if it was just me having grown up since I played P3 for the first time, but yes. Junpei is the most human character of the bunch, although I still think the two PS2 persona games have probably one of the best developed casts in gaming, if inly because of all the time you get to spend with the characters. So much so that you really get to know them deeply, as if they were real people.

I'm really glad I played this game twice, and I might do it again in the future. I don't think I was mature enough to appreciate the story the first time around, but the second time it really touched me and really felt that it influenced my fear of death in a very personal way. Back when I played it in high school, my best friend also played it and told me that even the good ending is actually bad and that the game is simply really deptessing. Having played it again as an adult, I see it as a much more cathartic experience, a tale that, despite death being an enormous part of it, is incredibly uplifting. I don't think any game ever has ever tackled the theme of accepting death quite so expertly, and even if there are elements of P4 that make it more enjoyable for me, I think P3 is now closer to my heart.

Bah, I just spoiled you a chunk of my list >< I never got why Yukari is such a scrappy according to the fanbase, by the way. I mean, I get that Ania, my wife, hated her, but she told me that it was because she just would not stay alive during battle to the point of being completely useless

I also recently recommended P3P to my mom, who is slowly getting into games nowadays. She has a lot of issues concerning life and death and whatnot. I hope it can help her.

It's an interesting experience. I mean, after playing both P3P and P4G, I find myself having vastly different opinions about the Magician party member than at first. Like, first time around I didn't really like Junpei due to how easily be for jealous and I loved Yosuke due to how friendly he was. And then in P3P (I played as a girl, that might have done it) I found Junpei to be much more complex, and really genuinely so sweet deep down, that he's now probably my favorite character in that game, while Yosuke now comes off as incredibly immature and very often kind of a sick with his homophobic and sexist remarks.

It's not going to be a fantasy or anything. It'll be a drama about a young couple dealing with the news that he has a degenerative disease that will kill him in a few years. I'm leaning towards ALS right now

Also sharky got Valkyria Chronicles today :P

    Get this.

I managed to max out all the party member social links before the whole Adachi thing! Soooo satsfying! I also heard that in Golden you get to play through all that time from December to March that got unceremoniously skipped in the original, so I may actually have the time to max many more of them!

By the way, updated my list. Hoping to pick up the pace now.

Projects!!!

by Wolf Kanno on 01-28-2021 at 07:40 AM
Oof, I've been a bit out of sorts with my mental health lately, and I think it's about time I do something about that. I've got a lot of balls in the air so to speak concerning projects I've been doing around the forum both past and present. So I'm thinking about tackling a few of them, but with how I've been feeling lately, I want some second opinions I guess. Of the projects I've abandoned, what should I work on next?

Here's where I'm at for the moment:

WK's Top 100 Lost but Not Forgotten : Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

by Wolf Kanno on 05-24-2020 at 11:43 PM

I'm always split on these articles. So many of these games are great and I have retroactively said a few of them made the list, but occasionally something comes along that I really want to love but the game just won't let me. Tactics Ogre is in a weird place for me because the remake and the original are pretty different in some meaningful ways, so much of this review pertains to the remake due to having only played a little bit of the original.

WK's Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten List: Silent Hill 3

by Wolf Kanno on 05-03-2020 at 01:37 AM
Is this honestly the first non-RPG on this list?

Well I fell into the Silent Hill series rather late. By the time I had played the series, the "glory years" were over and fans were knee deep in Konami trying to take the series in a different direction without Team Silent. I was a huge fan of the first two entries of the series, being instantly sucked into the second entry and surprised how much I really enjoyed the first one. So it came as a bit

WK's Top 100 Lost But Not Forgotten: SaGa Frontier 2

by Wolf Kanno on 04-05-2020 at 02:32 AM
I was having a serious reservation about whether I was going to add this to my Top 100 list or place it here. I decided it would go here for now, but part of me feels it could be like Demon's Souls and make the jump to My Top 100.

SaGa is a weird franchise. A JRPG series made for enthusiast who feel they've seen it all. From the Gameboy entries where you built a ragtag group filled with robots and monster to climb a tower/tree to visit

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

by Wolf Kanno on 01-30-2020 at 08:17 PM
You know the drill…

I mentioned this in my Chain of Memories entry for my Top 100 List, but Kingdom Hearts and I have a really awkward history with each other. This is a franchise that has always been more of a guilty pleasure for me than something I actively love. Funny enough, it’s not even the basic premise that bothers me. While Final Fantasy meets Disney mash-up sounds contrived, KH has always managed to make it work since this
