Oh yes, you did, I totally forgot! I need to look deeper then since I only found the descriptions of the world and characters. I'll reread it right away then and get straight to writing!

Oh yeah, now I know one big thing I'm missing from your descriptions - I have no idea what anyone looks like aside from some unique characteristics! I'll try to keep look descriptions to a minimum, but since I can already see the characters in a certain way in my head, I hope you can forgive me if there are some inaccuracies that I let slip

Yeah. Still, it's just on the basis of descriptions so far. It'd be interesting to repeat this once we're both much further along in writing these to see how much having this actually written has changed the other's interpretation.

Real eager to actually get some decent writing done. Sticking to my resolution of not playing anything for now! We'll see how that sticks.

That's what this exercise is about, isn't it? And it's not like you really have a lot to go on since I've been slacking when it comes to writing the damn thing...

I'll keep what I'm trying to do a surprise though I might still come asking for some details, but I should be good to go in general.

Black comedy is perfect though, so you may not be as far off as you think

I'm actually starting work on yours today so that's an interesting coincidence!

Well I beat Blood and Wine, the final expansion to the Witcher 3. It's been confirmed that there will be no more Witcher games, and it really makes sense, considering the very ending. That still doesn't make it okay though as I can feel the void creeping in

    Haha I love this!

So just like Q and DAN.

Yeah, is a damn shame they've been neglecting the previous entries. But now that 3 is getting a dancing game, I'm kinda hopeful, since that may potentially mean they're considering going back? Idk. Here's hoping. They have confirmed they're all in the same continuity, or I'm still hoping the rest of the series will get some more recognition (maybe EU can finally get Eternal Punisjment, for one )

Whatever the case, both Q and DAN were incredibly enjoyable experiences. The story is dumb in both, but I imagine the same can be said about Arena. They all more than make up for it by having excellent gameplay. Q's dungeon crawling and battle system are super fun, while DAN had really fantastic music (even though it's my least favorite of the new Persona soundtracks; the remixes are really awesome), so I'm pretty certain I'll have fun with all these games as well.

Watch me getting P5 DSN and Q2 before the actual P5

My Top 100's Lost but not Forgotten: Demon's Souls

by Wolf Kanno on 01-22-2018 at 04:23 AM
So as many people know, last year I did my Top 100 Games list, but as usual, there were a lot of games I loved that just didn't make the mark for one reason or another. I didn't really want to make a thread about it though, and figured the Blog would suit it better because there is likely only five or six games I wish to highlight here. I also feel annoyed I never use the Blog feature as much since it feels like a better platform for these types of discussions. In addition to these blogs, I do plan

Mononoke Hime

by Wolf Kanno on 11-08-2017 at 02:25 AM

A few days ago, I went to a midnight showing of Princess Mononoke at the Esquire Theater downtown. The very same theater I went to watch it the first time back in 1999 during it's initial release in the States. At that time, I was an avid anime fan who would consume whatever I could find as the medium was only in the beginning phases of it's explosive popularity in the 2000s, so the prospect of being able to watch an anime flick in an actual movie

Fighting Evil by Moonlight...

by Wolf Kanno on 06-14-2016 at 09:21 AM
So tonight I finally broke out a Christmas present I received several years ago that I never watched. Partly because for the first time in a long time, I felt ready for it. I acquired a DVD set that featured the entire DiC dub of the first two seasons of Sailor Moon, so basically the original dub, not the new one. Original Western score, Sailor Says, and the whole "Serena and Darien" name changes.

It was glorious.

Defining Gaming as Art

by Wolf Kanno on 02-23-2016 at 07:49 AM
This was going to have a subtitle, but they all sounded like pretentious academic papers and that kind of goes against the point of all of this.

So recently I began reading a very in-depth article series about two series worked on by one of the more influential game designers/writers in my life, Tetsuya Takahashi. I'll leave it up to Google for you to figure out why. Anyway, it was mostly a really well written and interesting analysis of the works and I actually learn a few things

Neon Lights, Large soda, and a handful of quarters...

by Wolf Kanno on 08-01-2015 at 10:07 AM
So lately I've been reminded of one of my life goals was that I wanted to one day build my own arcade for myself. Get all the games I grew up on and just have a fun little place devoted to letting me play through the classics and relieve the arcade scene I grew up in. I've been discussing this with friends as we try to create a list of the games we would add to the arcade. Of course there would be the classics like Galaga, Gauntlet, Pac-Man, Paperboy, Frogger, and Dig Dug but I also thought about
