And even THAT show was really ambiguous about the meaning of its sexuality

Thanks. Right now I'm busy spreading rumors in IS too. I have Jun and Eikichi's weapons and I've already spread the rumors that they are super powerful, but I don't really see the effect of it. Can't afford Maya's weapon yet, but soon, hopefully. The rumor system is pretty annoying with this though.

I'm at Leo temple now, the final one. Actually kind of disappointed by the end of the Taurus temple. I chose Jun and I have a neat little contact option but that's it. Jun didn't even get a single line of dialogue acknowledging it. But I guess the contact is good enough when it comes to presenting a main character in a homosexual relationship in a game from the 90s. It's still far more than we ever got in Personas 3 through 5.

Huh. Honestly, they don't sound that cool in IS either. Last time I played, the last boss was cakewalk either way, and by the end game I ended up using the Attack command very sparingly. Same is happening now - with how ranks and random growth work, it doesn;t feel like there's really any reason to ever not use your Persona.

Yeah. I honestly wouldn't consider doing it if it weren't for the NAnjo and Reiji cameo. I might as well give up halfway through, who knows.

Btw, how are the weapons handled in EP?

I actually managed to very quickly get the rumors about Maya's and Eikichi's legendary weapons. Combine that with the fact that chasing after the weapons is the only time in the game that you get to see Nanjo and Reiji, I think Imma go and try to collect them. So EP will have to wait just a little while longer.

I hope I can buy cleansing salt at Satomi Tadashi. I really don't feel like fighting wave after wave of low-level enemies at the Factory...

Yeah, I remember. I just need to have them all deal with their Shadows with the personas equipped. Same way Jun gets Chronos. I just hope I won't have to deal with too much Mudo in the meantime.

If I remember correctly, this is the last stretch, right? The four temples, and then I'm going into the last dungeon to punch Hitler in the face

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Arc the Lad II

by Wolf Kanno on 03-27-2018 at 10:53 PM
You know the drill by now...

One of my all time favorite publishers in the 90s for video games was Working Designs. It was a company that actually tried to get a lot of cool JRPGs released in the West long before the actual JRPG boom in the last years of the decade. I've already spoken about their most high profile title they ever worked on, Lunar: The Silver Star Story,

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: Final Fantasy III

Blah blah blah Top 100 blah blah blah too many good games to list. Blah blah blah, games that weren't good enough for my list but still excellent nonetheless.

Of the Classic series within Final Fantasy, FFIII was the last one for me to play, partly cause I didn't emulate very often and partly because I had hoped SE would come to their senses and re-release this title.

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: I am Setsuna

by Wolf Kanno on 02-23-2018 at 06:38 AM
So I did my Top 100 last year, and this year, I'm focusing on a few entries that didn't make the cut for one reason or another. I'll start off by saying that most of the games mentioned in this blog series are all worth playing, they simply just haven't enraptured me enough to place them on my List. I started with Demon's Souls, and i have about 24 more entries to go. I know I said it would be like four or five, but giving myself some time to think about it made me realize how many great games I

My Top 100's Lost but not Forgotten: Demon's Souls

by Wolf Kanno on 01-22-2018 at 03:23 AM
So as many people know, last year I did my Top 100 Games list, but as usual, there were a lot of games I loved that just didn't make the mark for one reason or another. I didn't really want to make a thread about it though, and figured the Blog would suit it better because there is likely only five or six games I wish to highlight here. I also feel annoyed I never use the Blog feature as much since it feels like a better platform for these types of discussions. In addition to these blogs, I do plan

Mononoke Hime

by Wolf Kanno on 11-08-2017 at 01:25 AM

A few days ago, I went to a midnight showing of Princess Mononoke at the Esquire Theater downtown. The very same theater I went to watch it the first time back in 1999 during it's initial release in the States. At that time, I was an avid anime fan who would consume whatever I could find as the medium was only in the beginning phases of it's explosive popularity in the 2000s, so the prospect of being able to watch an anime flick in an actual movie
