I hope he doesnt get mad over the fact that I want to finish my novel first

Though I have been experimenting on my piano a bit. Managed to aftually improvise some interesting bits so I might use thrm in the future!

Hmm, makes sense... I guess the better question to ask is, are you easily bored? In particular in cases when not much plot is being moved forward but just setting and characters slowly but surely getting established.

So, I blame your article for this, but I had a dream toda that Yasunori Mitsuda wanted me to write a piece for his upcoming project. I was failing hard, even though he gave me the software and everything and I wanted to give up but he didnt let me. He was adamant about me composing that particular piece and just would not let go. Which is werd since I always got the impression from interviews that he isn't a very assertive person. Here he had this fierce belief in me that was so strong that he just would not take no for an answer. A very strict but loving Mitsuda.

So how important is a quick and early hook in a story to you?

That they did, and don't get me wrong, I still appreciate it. It's probablh just a bit more jarring when you've been raised in a culture much more exposed to all things Russian.

Yeah, I gave p on that bcause those level requirements are definitely steep. I don't intend to drop EP, by the way. I'll get on with it eventually, its just that other things are on my mind right now. I wonder how tough Queen Asura actyally is because I kinda won the fight with hercheap (Lilim rules)

Oh yeah, I definitely like the spelling. It's just that, without looking into it on the Internet, I would never have guessed what they were going for. Also, apparently thatvoiceover at the beginning was supposed to be Russian. Too bad it sounded nothing like Russian.

Yeah, in hindsight, I could have tried harder with my story

Btw, Odjn is the weirdest spelling of that Russian numral that Ive ever seen. I'd have transcribed it as something like "adeen" personally

I remember the first time I played I was extremely stingy with the D-counter and ended up super frustrated, and in the end I don't think I even reached 50% before fighting Chetyre. This time I decided "smurf it" and if I ever get stuck on a boss fight or just don't feel bothered to do it, I'll just maul it to death as a dragon I plan to do several playthroughs so I wouldn't want t get burnt out. I really want to checkout what this game really has to offer, so if I ever end up having to start from sratch because my D-counter gets too high - so be it

I've reached MidSector and is it just me or is Dragon Quarte one of those games that gets progressively less intimidating as you go along? Money doesn't really seem to be an issue anymore and you get more than enough solid equipment to not really worry about anything. The inventory space also has five pages now which, while still limited, gives you a lot more wiggle room. I lost once in the boss rush with Zeno, but it was probably for the better since I ended up bumping my d-counter up by around 10%, and when I refought the boss and knew what I was doing it was pretty easy (who knew tonics would come in handy!)

My Top 100's Lost but Not Forgotten: I am Setsuna

by Wolf Kanno on Yesterday at 07:38 AM
So I did my Top 100 last year, and this year, I'm focusing on a few entries that didn't make the cut for one reason or another. I'll start off by saying that most of the games mentioned in this blog series are all worth playing, they simply just haven't enraptured me enough to place them on my List. I started with Demon's Souls, and i have about 24 more entries to go. I know I said it would be like four or five, but giving myself some time to think about it made me realize how many great games I

My Top 100's Lost but not Forgotten: Demon's Souls

by Wolf Kanno on 01-22-2018 at 04:23 AM
So as many people know, last year I did my Top 100 Games list, but as usual, there were a lot of games I loved that just didn't make the mark for one reason or another. I didn't really want to make a thread about it though, and figured the Blog would suit it better because there is likely only five or six games I wish to highlight here. I also feel annoyed I never use the Blog feature as much since it feels like a better platform for these types of discussions. In addition to these blogs, I do plan

Mononoke Hime

by Wolf Kanno on 11-08-2017 at 02:25 AM

A few days ago, I went to a midnight showing of Princess Mononoke at the Esquire Theater downtown. The very same theater I went to watch it the first time back in 1999 during it's initial release in the States. At that time, I was an avid anime fan who would consume whatever I could find as the medium was only in the beginning phases of it's explosive popularity in the 2000s, so the prospect of being able to watch an anime flick in an actual movie

Fighting Evil by Moonlight...

by Wolf Kanno on 06-14-2016 at 09:21 AM
So tonight I finally broke out a Christmas present I received several years ago that I never watched. Partly because for the first time in a long time, I felt ready for it. I acquired a DVD set that featured the entire DiC dub of the first two seasons of Sailor Moon, so basically the original dub, not the new one. Original Western score, Sailor Says, and the whole "Serena and Darien" name changes.

It was glorious.

Defining Gaming as Art

by Wolf Kanno on 02-23-2016 at 07:49 AM
This was going to have a subtitle, but they all sounded like pretentious academic papers and that kind of goes against the point of all of this.

So recently I began reading a very in-depth article series about two series worked on by one of the more influential game designers/writers in my life, Tetsuya Takahashi. I'll leave it up to Google for you to figure out why. Anyway, it was mostly a really well written and interesting analysis of the works and I actually learn a few things
