Why, as Hinamori is a girl, is she refered to with the -kun honorific? Isn't that for a male?

It's like a roundhouse kick in setup, but then he'd just keep his leg stretched out at head height and flick his foot at your face. It was never an effective attack, but certainly a good distraction. In BJJ and Wing Chun, we don't do many kicks. Especially not high kicks: all ours are to the leg. The simple fact being that we do so many defences against high kicks that we know they can go horribly wrong if you're training against someone who knows how to deal with them.

I agree. MA is so much fun. I also liked the close quarters combat style, hence why I went with BJJ and Wing Chun. Have you ever checked out any other styles?
