Sounds tough, you only needed one more :/ Unfortunately I haven't read either of these books, but I've read good things about 'Das Parfum'. Was there a character in the book called 'Schildkröte' or do you mean Schildkröten in general? I like Schildkröten... XD

I hope so too The German exam will be 4 hours 2 for grammar and 2 for essay! ;___; I made one last semester and I spent one week thinking half in German ;___; I could barely speak portuguese XD and she failed me with an 8 when I needed 9 to go to the oral exam hm I wanted to read 'Das Parfum' and I will buy it this summer in German! Also I read "Momo" bei Micheal Ende! It seemed kinda boring and I hate Schildkröte! ;_; "Das Parfum" sounds a lot more interesting!

That almost sounds as if your teacher doesn't have any interest in you learning German. That's a shame Rating grammar alone doesn't seem right either. I sometimes struggle with commas myself O.o I guess you just have to keep reading. But maybe you could try reading something more modern since those older books probably don't use the new Rechtschreibung. Either way, I'm sure you'll improve eventually, you may simply need more time

She's terrible She's german and she teach us everything correctly but then on our tests she puts traps so it's really hard! On our essay she wanted us to make a Beschwerde Brief about the film 'ET" XD We had to complain to an Association that chooses films for kids that our daughter watched the film and then had trouble!XD 180 Wörter around that XD I know I made everything correctly like in teh date I put the . but if I made too many mistakes in declinations or in commas I will fail So my creativty doesn't really count for anything! It's really frustating! I've been reading so many German books! Kafka, Anne Marie Schwazenbach, Handke, Böll, Goethe... but nothing works

Düsseldorf ist gar nicht so weit von wo ich herkomme, ich war auch schon mal dort. Für vier Jahre ist das schon sehr gut. Nach vier Jahren Unterricht war mein Englisch noch grottenschlecht

Sorry that your German teacher isn't very efficient. I've had a bad English teacher in 9th and 10th grade. I think bad language teachers are bad for the reputation of the language they teach
