Once upon a time, there was a fox. This fox was called Perola and was, I have to say, the finest fox I ever saw in this here forest. Yes, this forest, for this forest is where it happened. What happened here, you ask? Let me tell you:

One especially beautiful day, when Perola the fox just had awoken, she climbed up to the highest hill in the forest. Why, you ask? She wanted to know what's up! As she stood there, looking out over her kingdom, a giraffe came galloping towards her. It was Debra Longlegs, the messenger giraffe. "Perola!" she panted as she came closer, "The phantom overlord from the land beyond the mountains has sent out an army of k-killer wolves to raid your forest and kill all the cutesy animals within!" What was poor Perola to do?

She called for a meeting in the middle of the forest. After explaining the situation to all the animals, a stir began against the animals. "Oh what oh what oh what are we to do?", cried the hare. The bear scratched his belly and uttered "Maybe I can calm them down. I'll give them some honey. It always calms me down." But the moose screamed impatiently: "Ha! Nothing will calm these beasts down! I will tear them apart with my horns!" :moose: But quietly, the hummingbird flew close to Perola's ear and sang softly: "We should talk to the phantom overlord himself. He might loosen his grip." Perola thought this was a wonderful idea, and already by the next morning she had prepared to leave for the land beyond the mountains, and given the leopard the task to prepare the forest's defences.

By midday, she and some other animals were heading towards the phantom overlord's cave on the other side of the mountain, by air. Those who could not fly were carried on the backs of the larger birds. Already by nightfall they approached the cave. There were two white tigers positioned outside, ferocious looking beasts. But the bees swarmed forward and stung them, and the tigers fled. Now, without fear, Perola stepped into the cave and faced the phantom overlord. He was a horrible sight to behold. As big as three men, with claws the size of pencils, and eyes so cold as to keep ice frozen! He looked at Perola and calmly said, with a chilling voice: "Haha... What do you, Perola, think you can do here in my domain, to stop my attack on your forest? I am stronger than a wall, and my magic is unstoppable. I am surely the mightiest!" :evilking:

These words alone would surely have turned any man to dust by fear alone, but Perola stood her ground without a sign of fear in her face. "I only wish to speak to you and ask you why you're doing this", she said. The phantom stared at her and gasped: "Wh-what? How do you resist my magic? It must be... it can't be... the power of love! Noooooooo!" He crept together as if he was about to pulverize, but nothing happened. He fell onto the floor and started sobbing.

Perola approched the phantom and spoke warmly to him: "There, there. If you want to, you can come and live in my forest with me and my friends!" "C-can I get my own patch?" cried the phantom. "As big as you like", said Perola, "as long as you don't do any evil stuff any more."

The phantom promised, and they all returned to the forest. They discovered that the wolf army had all been caught and, one by one, all of the wolves had been convinced by the animals that they didn't need to be enemies to the forest animals, but instead could live in the forest alongside them. And after two days, the two white tigers came to the forest and the bees came to apologise and the bee stings were quickly healed by the wise owl. The tigers also stayed in the forest after this, and everybody was happy.

And as far as I know, Perola the fox still rules over them.
