They aren't too big, but having to know them basically inside and out, backwards, forwards and sideways is going to be tough D:

Online college *boom tish* I'm unfair there, it's a good idea for people who can't go to a physical college and they probably give you a decentish education, but like you said, it just seems to defeat the purpose.

Yeah those funds set up in memory of people, trust funds? Or something, similar to scholarships but there was another word xD Ah well.

You're right about the textbooks too. I spent about $200 on textbooks last semester, and I only had three. This semester I have to buy 8 novels for one class, plus 3 or more textbooks for the other classes. Ridiculous!

Learning through the internet would be fantastic. The internet is half the reason I did any good at school. Video games are the other half

EXACTLY. It's like it's set up so you can only do this much better than your parents, and your kids can only do this much better than you. That is balls, and anyone with the talent and drive to succeed should be able to. Hopefully some of those fund places things (I forget what they're called) throw lots of money at you because you deserve to get where you wanna be!

Well as it happens I probably won't be 18 by the time the election comes around so I won't even get to vote

Your education system is balls. You have to pay way too much money and it's basically all upfront, or loans with ridiculous interest rates (as far as I am aware). We don't have to pay a cent until we start earning at least 30 odd thousand a year. And even then it's only marginal, and it doesn't generate interest. But we still pay an insane amount of cash D:

Things for me are going well. I'm doing well at uni, just waiting for my results to be released so I can confirm that though I'm earning a bit of money slowly, my bank account just passed $500 the other day. That has to go straight on fees/books when my next semester starts though D: I'm also back training! I tore my hamstring so I was out for a while but now I'm back

Australia itself seems to be in a spot of bother though. There's an election coming up and the two party leaders are an idiot or a backstabber. Not great choices to be honest!

Meteor showers are very faint. You have to be pretty lucky to spot them in time, but with your telescope, you can just look up what angle you'd have to look (or if you want, go by constellations) and just point it there. But yeah, it was pretty awesome, I immediately went to make a wish, until I realized I was a physicist and that it's a little silly.

It really sucks I live in the city though, due to light pollution I barely see anything. Although a few months ago I actually saw a shooting star. That was pretty badass. It was really random too, I was just closing the blinds at 3 AM, and there it was. I almost thought I was dreaming. Of course, the scientist of me knows thousands of asteroids burn up in our atmosphere every day.

I don't know much about the night sky, but I love stargazing itself. I don't know why, maybe when you look out at that void, the small dots of light, so far away, it really shows how little your problems are in the grand view of the universe, and makes them seem insignificant.

I wish the roof on my apartment was flat, then I could lie flat on my back and look at them at night.

Oh, and to prevent you feeling left out as the only woman I don't compliment, you had a very pretty smile.

I saw a telescope in your pic. Are you perhaps a stargazer? If so, very awesome.

Hopefully I can catch you on MSN at one point, but until then I guess we continue chatting as normal! Have you decided what you're going to do with the whole grading/tournament problem?

Should be sleeping!

by Rebellious Eagle on 04-09-2013 at 04:35 AM
I have to get up at 5:20 tomorrow morning to chaperone a field trip for some underclassmen and I should be asleep by now but INTERNET IS SO DISTRACTING

I realize I'm on here so sporadically. I have a crappy attention span, I guess, and there's always some new website I want to join only to forget about it in a week. EoFF should feel special that I at least bother to check up every few months xD so I guess I'll make an update about my life, if anyone cares.

I'm a senior

I'm on and off this place so much. But it'll always have a place in my heart, I swear! Right next to bacon and Pokemon.
Don't know why I came back today. I think I missed some of you. <3 but I'll be gone tomorrow because VACATION TO SEE MY FIANCE, smurf YEAH.

Oh my lawd.

by Rebellious Eagle on 06-13-2012 at 02:22 AM
I haven't been on here in -ages-.

Junior year has been a joyride...well, no. It sucked. It was filled with tests, bad teachers, college visits and trips to see Matt, my long-distance now-fiance. No, it hasn't been easy. Has it been worth it? Well. Matt, yes. Suffering through honors classes with terrible teachers? Meh...

It's almost summer and I'll be a senior. And I'll face the choice of picking a college. Plus, I'm starting a job soon. Oi vey.

Migraines, Gynecologists, and Being Ignored by One's Own Mother

by Rebellious Eagle on 08-07-2011 at 05:28 PM
I've had a godawful migraine since last night. I barely got any sleep and it still hurts a bit, but at least not as badly as before. It's absolutely terrible. It makes me cry from the immense pain and looking into any source of light hurts like hell.

Tomorrow I have my first visit with the gynecologist. She's apparently very good, so I'm actually excited. Since I'm sexually active, I need to ask her for birth control. Only problem is my mother wouldn't pay for it and ABSOLUTELY kill

Yay for more juicy personal stories!

by Rebellious Eagle on 07-11-2011 at 01:06 AM
I have no idea why but I like to blog about my sex life here, maybe because I really don't have anywhere else to do it. If you don't like it don't read it.

Had some more great sex today. Or as we call it, we made some great love today. Tried some new positions. We don't do it for the physical pleasure...more like for the great feeling of being so close emotionally and bonding ourselves as one. We're young and in love and it feels amazing.

Cheesy, I know.
