Well they're both pretty great tracks.

Yeah, Memories of the City is one my favorite tracks in the game. I feel like that's an Atlus signature, because Nocturne also changes the World Map when you reach the end as well.

Lol! Not going to take the plunge into actually playing it though? Course I know you're here more for the story. Did you think you'll check out P3P and try the Girl Scenario?

That ending still sticks to me years later, which version are you playing?

That's good, how did Persona 3 go for you?

Ouch, to be honest, I feel the other secret you already know is the bigger spoiler.

Haha, your updates on the posts you report are cracking me up xD

by Karifean on 04-30-2017 at 12:25 AM
As of just now, Little Busters! English Edition is on Steam Greenlight. While the release date is a vague "2017" it's pretty cool to see *something* happening nonetheless.

Higurashi Ch. 5 Meakashi released on Steam

by Karifean on 04-29-2017 at 12:36 AM
So for anyone following this series, or interested in following it, Higurashi Chapter 5 - also known as Meakashi - was just released on Steam. I felt like announcing this here because it's my favorite arc in Higurashi and one where I feel Ryukishi's talent in writing characters really comes out for the very first time.

You can find it here:

My Current VN Tier List

by Karifean on 03-22-2017 at 12:02 AM
I thought about making another Top 10 list with VNs I've read or changed opinion on since my last one, but I don't think it would be particularly representative. So hey, why not make a ranking of literally *all* VNs I've ever read? Sounds like fun!

That being said, some of these novels are way too close to one another and hard to differentiate in how I feel about them. So I'm going to be doing this in tiers. I'll still try to sort the VNs in each individual tier from worst to best,

A Journey of Seagulls - Episode 1

by Karifean on 03-02-2017 at 01:13 AM
This is going to be a series of posts forming a commentary on the journey of reading Umineko. While I may talk about themes more relevant to Umineko on a greater scale, I intend to keep this series spoiler-free beyond the episode I'm talking about, so you're completely safe to read this if you've read up to the episode in the title yourself.

Starting with Episode 1: And Then There Were No Seagulls, or something along those lines. At least until it's not anymore.

Comparing the sci-fi escape genre games

by Karifean on 02-09-2017 at 04:51 AM
Referring to Zero Escape, Root Double and Ever17, three games / series that share a quite similar premise and execute it in quite different ways. The shared premise being basically as follows: a group of characters finds themselves locked in a very dangerous situation cut off from the outside world, and if they don't get out fast they all die. The games are all set in the not too distant future, with science being a little more advanced than in our world. And finally, all the games have some very
