Because it just is. If I was thinking of something rubbish to type for my username I would probably type 'Chaos Prophecy.Crash..'.
The I would probably think, holy crap that is too rubbish, I cannot put my fellow internet users through so much pain. So I would then change it to something like 'LOLZ'.
