I'm probably gonna have to replay SMTIV on New game+ to get neutral... Hm... Thinking of doing an LP on it.

    Cool

I really liked some parts of it, but found the way the story progressed pretty "meh". And while the characters were t exactly as realistic as I expect them to be in a good way, all the conversations were really entertaining

Oh, cool. How did you like Awakrning, BTW?

It's just so awesome shion One of my too 3 series.

Oh, here's some of the female characters in SMTIV:

That sounds really intriguing! Gonna have to add that to my list of RPG series I have to check out one day

SMT is this huge series if JRPGs that's as big in Japan as FF or DQ - basically, they define the genre. They're always on the harder scale of things, but SMTIV is probably the easiest to get into. First of all, you get access to an easy mode once you die twice. Second of all, the mechanics have been tweaked in a way that makes the beginning of the game actually be the hardest part - ironically, the game gets easier the farther you get Also, there's DLC that makes grinding for anything really fast and easy, so it's probably onE of the least challenging in the series. The games are all really dark (with IV being especially dark), dealing with themes with human morality, and so on. They're also pretty controversial, as the tyre actually the games that introduced the "religion is evil" trope that is so popular nowadays (you even fight God as the final boss in SMTII!), but in general nothing is black or white in these games, and whatever side you take, they all have flaws and fair points. So think more FFT than FFX in that religion theme XD So while I don't like their portrayal of good, nothing in these games is undeniably good or evil. All the games have a bigger focus on exploration and battles (with an interesting battle system focusing on exploiting weaknesses), but the stories are always excellent and well-written, with intriguing characters (and lots of strong females). You also rarely have an actual human party, instead convincing demons from various religions and mythologies to join you.

So SMT IVtakes place in this mixed setting of a high medieval period and a post-apocalyptic Tokyo. It's super fun. I highly recommend it as a start to one of my favorite series of all time. Of that's too hard, PERSONA 3 on the PSP might be an even better place to start - it has a very easy noob mode to choose, plus it has a bigger focus on characters and the themes are not as controversial. And it takes place in a high school and has dating sim elements. And you can play as a girl. So yeah, it's much more light, but still deals with some pretty deep issues. Although Persona is kind of its own thing now, so if you play it, don't later expect SMT to be too similar

I have not played a Star Ocean game in my life. What are they about?

SMT is an incredible game too, my too ten easily, even taking into account that little frustration factor. One of the most actually mature games I've ever played, as opposed to, you know, grit-and-violence-and-sex "mature".

I have become frustrated with Shin Megami Tensei IV, because I appear to have locked myself into the law alignment, which I did not want to get. I need to restart if I want to go neutral. I am so mad because I did my best to be neutral and now I'm gonna have to do what those dickhead angels tell me to

Video game site

by Pumpkin on 11-01-2017 at 03:02 AM
Hey guys, I made a fun, silly little video game site. I'll update it weekly with new stuff. I would also like a montly guest feature (there's a nifty one about Telltale right now by our very own KleinerKiller) so if you ever feel like writing about video games, let me know so you can get your stuff out to tens of people. Opinions, reviews, whatever you want. There's also a nifty site poll and I'll attempt a clay sculpture of the first poll winner! So check it out, share with your friends, etc etc.

Tekken Outfits!

by Pumpkin on 06-30-2017 at 05:43 AM
It's time to share the outfits it took me 2000 fights to unlock in Tekken 7! Unfortunately the customization options are somewhat lacking so I had to reuse clothes. Anywho, enjoy and prepare for a lot of pastel colours

Alisa:
(SPOILER)

This first one is just a pallet swap of her default outfit. I like these colours much better. Her hair is also blue and pink, my two fave colours (although not necessarily those shades)

Video Game Fashions: Atelier Sophie!

by Pumpkin on 04-29-2017 at 04:51 AM
Before Firis came along with her nifty outfits, we had Atelier Sophie! Most of the outfits are for Plachta, her companion, but she has two cute outfits of her own.

Also, a lot of these outfits are very... leotardy, so Imma go ahead and just label this whole edition NSFW just to air on the safe side!

So let's start with Sophie:

It's time to dive in to Atelier Firis, which has a nifty outfit system where the outfits actually grant you different enhancements in game! Ordered from least favourite to favourite

Note: I do not remember the actual names of each outfit but that's alright

First is the Wonderland outfit:
