This is what we're working against when it comes to people who can vote, and the success of conservative brainwashing. It's not hard to brainwash when the mind is pretty empty of things to begin with.

See, in Rekka no Ken, there is also a tactician Avatar. Although he (or she, you could choose) didn't take part in battles, the tactician was still really important to the story.

In the Smash Brethren 3 DLC map, we find out that they are the same tactician, because Lyn recognizes your Avatar and asks if you remember the journey that you went on together in Rekka no Ken. It's an absolutely fantastic little nod to the game, and it explains what happened to the Avatar before Chrom finds you on the fields. The Avatar's mother smuggled you away from the people hunting you, you vanish from the world for years, and turn up right outside the Outrealm Gate. Because you were off saving another world.

    Lyn
So that's it. I lost. It feels so unfair... Are you the enemy's tactician? ...Wait, what?! It can't be... Are you... No, that's impossible... I'm sorry. It's just...you remind me of someone very dear to me. A tactician, like you, who came to my aid time and again. This might seem like a silly question, but... Have you ever awoken in a strange place, uncertain of how you got there?

    >Question: Have you ever awoken in a strange place?
    >Yes

    Lyn
I knew it! It happened three times to the man/woman I knew. This can't be pure coincidence. ...Unless, of course, all tacticians are known to collapse by the wayside.

I am Lyn, of the Lorca tribe. Would you tell me more about yourself? Where were you born? Have you been to my world? ...What? You can't remember? Now I'm even more certain that you're the man/woman I know. Look at me carefully, and really try to think back. We met on the Sacae plains. We fought with Eliwood and the others... Does none of this sound familiar?

    >Quesiton: Does Lyn's story sound familiar?
    >Yes

    Lyn
Really? Then you remember! It's really you! Oh...I'm so happy! I thought... I thought we'd never met again. ...I'm sorry. I don't mean to cry. I'm just...overwhelmed. Give me a moment... ...Thank you. I feel better. Listen. Come back to Sacae with me! Can you just picture the others' face's? ...What? Unfinished business? All right. Then please, let me join my strength to yours. I'll cut down any foe who dares stand in your path!

Lyndis, from Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken (just known as Fire Emblem outside Japan, as it was the first one officially translated into English).

Her story and personality were great. She is actually tied into Awakening's story (or at least, directly tied to the Avatar) in one of the game's DLC chapters.

I don't blame you there. I usually try to minimize weapon cycling, because it can get confusing (not to mention leave you with a bunch of weapons with really low durability). I usually use Bronze Weapons for training characters, then just choose a more powerful one for when I go on non-grindy missions.

Rescue Staves can be bought at the Chapter 12 Port Ferox shop for 1280 Gold apiece. They only have five uses, but that's enough to gain three levels, I think.

Also, any unit who can become a Mercenary, make sure they do that. Even at Level 1, Mercenaries get Armsthrift, which gives a chance that weapons won't lose durability when attacking. And the higher the unit's Luck stat, the better the chance.

Yeah, as soon as they hit 15, you've gotten their skills. You can keep going for more experience and stats (which I usually do), but it's not necessary past that point.

Anytime a character goes to a job with a different weapon type than the one they wielded before, they have to build up weapon experience all over. So Bronze Weapons get a lot of use.

This really sucks for staff wielders, because Heal staffs provide relatively little Experience in general, and you have to use them a lot to get them up to use better staves. Rescue staffs at weapon rank C are the best for experience and weapon experience if you can afford them, since you don't have to wait for people to get hurt to use them.

No. I believe only one previous entry in the series used children units, Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, which never came to the US. The Support system itself is used throughout the series, though there were previously restrictions on how many Supports you could gain in one play through.

There's also a lot less grinding allowed in most of them, with Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones being the only other one which allowed unlimited grinding (and I found it tighter on money for new weapons).

Olivia and Nowi, similar to Panne and Donnel, don't have advanced jobs, just a job that goes to level 30. Libra starts at his advanced job, as does every other non-child unit you'll gain for the rest of the game.

I think "both" is what you're looking for there.

It's kind of a shame you're having so much trouble. Some of the best content comes in some of the hardest missions, especially if we're talking DLC. Once you beat the game, I advise you to look up the Future of Despair DLC missions on YouTube so you can see how awesome the situations that play out there are. So much feels.

The Scramble Pack is also great story stuff, so look those up too, but they're also much easier, if you want to play them.

It has made me so hyped for Smash Bros. I don't want to wait another two months.

I hope my advice is helping with Awakening, though.

Video game site

by Pumpkin on 11-01-2017 at 03:02 AM
Hey guys, I made a fun, silly little video game site. I'll update it weekly with new stuff. I would also like a montly guest feature (there's a nifty one about Telltale right now by our very own KleinerKiller) so if you ever feel like writing about video games, let me know so you can get your stuff out to tens of people. Opinions, reviews, whatever you want. There's also a nifty site poll and I'll attempt a clay sculpture of the first poll winner! So check it out, share with your friends, etc etc.

Tekken Outfits!

by Pumpkin on 06-30-2017 at 05:43 AM
It's time to share the outfits it took me 2000 fights to unlock in Tekken 7! Unfortunately the customization options are somewhat lacking so I had to reuse clothes. Anywho, enjoy and prepare for a lot of pastel colours

Alisa:
(SPOILER)

This first one is just a pallet swap of her default outfit. I like these colours much better. Her hair is also blue and pink, my two fave colours (although not necessarily those shades)

Video Game Fashions: Atelier Sophie!

by Pumpkin on 04-29-2017 at 04:51 AM
Before Firis came along with her nifty outfits, we had Atelier Sophie! Most of the outfits are for Plachta, her companion, but she has two cute outfits of her own.

Also, a lot of these outfits are very... leotardy, so Imma go ahead and just label this whole edition NSFW just to air on the safe side!

So let's start with Sophie:

It's time to dive in to Atelier Firis, which has a nifty outfit system where the outfits actually grant you different enhancements in game! Ordered from least favourite to favourite

Note: I do not remember the actual names of each outfit but that's alright

First is the Wonderland outfit:
