They did play their asses off last year. By the end of the PIT/PHI series I wanted Couturier's head on a stick hanging above the Consol Energy Center. We're one game in! Stay optimistic because I want to see Philly blow it in round two of the playoffs.
Schenn and Couturier are still developing. Give them two more years at the very least. Simmonds is above average, but a lot of teams lack players that can even be described that way.
