Not at all. It's just the day for blog sharing on Twitter. Just pick a post you like and link to it again that day with the tag.

#MondayBlogs is an actual run tag, I mean. They do it once per week and it's good for views. Look into it.

I have no idea; I've played neither.

Yeah it's always nice when you hit the jackpot and find a tag that is actually useful. You may want to check out the #MondayBlogs tag as well.

Generally online newspapers like that just trawl for tags and don't tend to actually pay that much attention to the articles/blog posts they choose, but if it's gotten you some views than good job on being lucky!

The steady income is difficult to attain from writing, but I'm sure you'll get there. It takes a lot of hard work though - I know it has taken Jiro a lot of effort to get to the point where his games journalism is paying the bills.

I've never really "needed" to cover anything, since I don't work for any particular place, but if I was committed to one writing source and they wanted me to, I wouldn't have an issue with it. That being said, I have done a bit of journalism stuff at uni, so I do have enough experience to pull it off if it was ever required of me.

    K. Llewellin seems to be in one of the writing networks I'm in; there are a lot of writers following one another and helping promote each other's work in all corners of Twitter. It's a good place for networking with authors and writers.

    Sadly, nope! xD

I'm glad people are finding you.

Practice and commitment. I've been writing about 1,500 words a day, most days, even when I have work/class/other things on. Even while I was on vacation I was hitting pretty high word counts when I got back to the hotel each night. The act of writing every day gets you in a pretty good habit. It probably also helps that I have so much on; if I wasn't writing that much every day, I just wouldn't be meeting my deadlines and goals.

Awesome. Any idea how you got all that traffic? Is that new job sending people to your blog? It's awesome if you're getting more exposure!

I'm good. Really busy, but good. I have a twenty five hour class intensive this week and then I start prac. Also have a lot of writing to do (as usual). I've written about 55,000 words in July so far.

I figured since Shauna's is reshuffling the names again soon, I should make a final effort to say hi. How are things?

Where did you work? And where are you going to go next?

Thanksgaming III! (Long overdue playthroughs are long overdue)

by Ayen on 11-01-2015 at 01:53 AM
Tomorrow marks the beginning of the third annual Thanksgaming Month hosted by Ayen's Reviews, and the first to be in video format. Thanksgaming is a time of year where we honor the games of yesteryear and those that came out today, and I look forward to sinking my teeth into this year's lineup. Three of which I will be playing for the very first time. It all starts November 4th!

No more updates. Just reviews.

New Camera, Lousy Mic

by Ayen on 09-30-2015 at 12:08 AM
A few of you know I started doing video reviews of late, and while I got a new camera I'm running into a boat load of problems with it, among other things. Here's a quick video explaining my situation:

Activity will take a hit

by Ayen on 07-23-2015 at 01:00 AM
Last night on the toilet the following thoughts entered my mind: Just give up. You'll never finish a book and you'll never be a published author. So now I have to write a book and get it published to stick it to my inner monologue. Between that and the weekly reviews my posting on here will be cut in half as I want to focus on my writing. I love you guys, but you can be very distracting when people want to be productive.

I'll catch you guys later.

Movie Monday!

by Ayen on 06-23-2015 at 04:52 AM
As evident by this thread I have decided to branch out into cinema. Those who have been following me for a while will know that I already dabble in this medium in the past with my Mario, and Street Fighter reviews, but those were more looking at an adaption from the eyes of a gamer than your casual movie goer, so they may remain as part of my video games section.

Every Monday I'll look at a different movie and post it on my blog before sharing it here. Like my games there's no cutoff
