I haven't finished it, hell I haven't even finished the first season but I'm enjoying it. I loved the manga version of Sailor Moon so the story changes to reflect a more accurate adaption don't really bother me. The animation is nice (when the animators don't make silly gaffes) but I still prefer the original anime and manga styles. The 3D elements are still kind of jarring...

That's pretty sweet. I've been pretty low key with anime lately. One Piece, JoJo's Bizarre Adventures, One-Punch Man, and Sailor Moon Crystal are the only current series I'm following. Lately I've been focusing on collecting older series I grew up with like Galaxy Express 999, Project A-Ko, and Ranma 1/2.

Draining, I have mostly money and a gift card for Gamestop. My biggest haul was DVDs as I got a copy of the Indiana Jones Films (something I've been meaning to collect for ages) both seasons of Courage the Cowardly Dog, and the anime and manga of JoJo's Bizarre Adventures.
  4. My dad is similar. We dont have cable either and the reason we dont have proper internet is cos my dad doesnt want to pay for that either. Even my mum wants it but she doesnt challenge him on it as he makes it so difficult. He is so stubbourn when it comes to money he has an irrational fear and paranoia about it. I will end on a good note as this internet may flip out. I wasnt completly fair on my university experince. Sure it was socially and financially bad but I thrived in an academic environment and it does influence my writing at least, even if I dont ever get paid for these skills
  5. Ah so you dont get bbc america then. I do like how you guys like it so much. It just sums up british sci fi well. I may have to disappear this connection is starting to fail me
  6. Did you watch the episodes of doctor who she was in?
  7. Is Maisie Williams another female you like or is it more to do with Arya Stark and her character? Or both?
  8. My phone no longer allows me to access this site. So im on my mums phone and wont have as much an oppotunity to check messages as often so from about midnight my time my internet priveleges will be revoked as that is when she goes to bed. Also the connection is dicey. Hows the editing going?

Thanksgaming III! (Long overdue playthroughs are long overdue)

by Ayen on 11-01-2015 at 01:53 AM
Tomorrow marks the beginning of the third annual Thanksgaming Month hosted by Ayen's Reviews, and the first to be in video format. Thanksgaming is a time of year where we honor the games of yesteryear and those that came out today, and I look forward to sinking my teeth into this year's lineup. Three of which I will be playing for the very first time. It all starts November 4th!

It's the final update!

by Ayen on 10-16-2015 at 12:00 AM
No more updates. Just reviews.

Finally figured trout out and I'll be able to get back into my weekly schedule. Now I have an extra week to get work done.

Catch you guys later.

New Camera, Lousy Mic

by Ayen on 09-30-2015 at 12:08 AM
A few of you know I started doing video reviews of late, and while I got a new camera I'm running into a boat load of problems with it, among other things. Here's a quick video explaining my situation:

Activity will take a hit

by Ayen on 07-23-2015 at 01:00 AM
Last night on the toilet the following thoughts entered my mind: Just give up. You'll never finish a book and you'll never be a published author. So now I have to write a book and get it published to stick it to my inner monologue. Between that and the weekly reviews my posting on here will be cut in half as I want to focus on my writing. I love you guys, but you can be very distracting when people want to be productive.

I'll catch you guys later.

Movie Monday!

by Ayen on 06-23-2015 at 04:52 AM
As evident by this thread I have decided to branch out into cinema. Those who have been following me for a while will know that I already dabble in this medium in the past with my Mario, and Street Fighter reviews, but those were more looking at an adaption from the eyes of a gamer than your casual movie goer, so they may remain as part of my video games section.

Every Monday I'll look at a different movie and post it on my blog before sharing it here. Like my games there's no cutoff
