I agree. I also hate how some people, especially a couple around here, are like "Oh? So you dislike this game I am trying to throw down your throat so vehemently, and you're substantiating your opinion with solid arguments? F that noise - you just don't like fun and buy a game so you can hate it!" URGH

Speaking of opinions, like my new profile pic?

Well, I'm kinda glad it still has fans at all. I mean, the mythos and world are really great. I just think Toriyama should really just stop producing any work of fiction. Like right now.

I like to exaggerate my feelings on X Honestly though? My problems with how the story is handled really are mostly nitpicks, and even though I do think that the game tries to tackle themes it just doesn't have the capacity to, it's still a good game, IMO. It may be near the bottom of my favorite FFs list, but I still think there's something to love about every entry (that being only the music in XIII, but even with that game I don't actively hate it, I just feel sad for it). I'm mostly frustrated with how overhyped it is and how that hype has gone on to damage FFXII's reputation, which I still consider the very best numbered FF. But I understand how people may enjoy X over XII. I know I enjoy XII more because it simply delivers more of what I expect from a really good game.

Still, X remains a fun game in my eyes. Though it's harder for me to forgive some if it's shortcomings, it's still a good FF. Still like X-2 better, though

BTW, I have X|X-2 HD on my Vita, playing through X now.

Sorry I'm too busy to take part I do hope IX wins, even though I like X-2 a lot too

Thanksgaming III! (Long overdue playthroughs are long overdue)

by Ayen on 11-01-2015 at 01:53 AM
Tomorrow marks the beginning of the third annual Thanksgaming Month hosted by Ayen's Reviews, and the first to be in video format. Thanksgaming is a time of year where we honor the games of yesteryear and those that came out today, and I look forward to sinking my teeth into this year's lineup. Three of which I will be playing for the very first time. It all starts November 4th!

No more updates. Just reviews.

Finally figured trout out and I'll be able to get back into my weekly schedule. Now I have an extra week to get work done.

Catch you guys later.

New Camera, Lousy Mic

by Ayen on 09-30-2015 at 12:08 AM
A few of you know I started doing video reviews of late, and while I got a new camera I'm running into a boat load of problems with it, among other things. Here's a quick video explaining my situation:

Activity will take a hit

by Ayen on 07-23-2015 at 01:00 AM
Last night on the toilet the following thoughts entered my mind: Just give up. You'll never finish a book and you'll never be a published author. So now I have to write a book and get it published to stick it to my inner monologue. Between that and the weekly reviews my posting on here will be cut in half as I want to focus on my writing. I love you guys, but you can be very distracting when people want to be productive.

I'll catch you guys later.

Movie Monday!

by Ayen on 06-23-2015 at 04:52 AM
As evident by this thread I have decided to branch out into cinema. Those who have been following me for a while will know that I already dabble in this medium in the past with my Mario, and Street Fighter reviews, but those were more looking at an adaption from the eyes of a gamer than your casual movie goer, so they may remain as part of my video games section.

Every Monday I'll look at a different movie and post it on my blog before sharing it here. Like my games there's no cutoff
