    Just started playing Vagrant Story. You should give it a try sometime! There's a lot of similarities to FFXII. And it's pretty creepy

    I understand completely where he's coming from. That's why I feel guilty about writing it, but I'll press on. I'm already in the process of planning my own novel because of the fic writing I've been doing and reading Game of Thrones has improved my writing a bit so I feel it's a disservice to myself and those enjoying my story to leave it hanging.

    Glad to know I'm not the only person who did it like that.

    His disapproval seems to fall in line with fics where the authors make characters act out of character. He also just doesn't like the idea of other writers writing about them. He think they should be inventing their own worlds and characters instead of playing in his "sandbox" as he puts it.

    It makes me wonder if he realizes sandboxes were meant to be enjoyed by more than one kid.

    My problem was I kept going back and proofing each chapter instead of waiting until the book was finished before proofing it. Can't tell you how many book projects I've dived into and have left unfinished.

    That's why I really want to finish what I'm working on now, even if it is fanfiction. Though now I feel kind of dickish because the author of the story is strongly against fanfiction of his work. Apparently not enough to require Fanfic.net to deny submissions, but still...
