    Of course it's not I'm studying Polish-English-German translations on my MA so yes, I do love the German language. That face was more surprise than anything because they sound nothing alike to me English and German are much more similar sounding, IMO, but that's no surprise as they're both Germanic languages. And it makes sense Romance languages sound different, since they are the direct "spawn" of Latin, unlike the others which have only been strongly influenced by it.
